chris Posted June 21, 2009 Report Share Posted June 21, 2009 Hi just a quick update on Sandy now that he has been here for a week. He has settled in very well indeed, he gets on well with Olive and Freddy the grumpy greyhounds, he loves his walks and has the most ear piercing bark when he is excited, which seems to be whenever he thinks he is going for a walk. Fortunately we have very good neighbours who like our dogs. It never ceases to amaze me how resilliant these oldies are. Poor old Sandy had his owner die when he was in his twilight years and has to go in to foster with Maggie who looked after him so well, then he went for 2 weeks to Elaine, while Maggie went on holiday, was taken seriously ill and rushed to the vets for a major operation and now, a few weeks later, here he is asleep under our table quite happy. None of this would have been possible without the oldies club and their band of willing volunteers. We would like to thank everybody for what they have done for this lovely lad and to say that he now has a comfortable home for the rest of his life.
