  1. Hi Alicia - heard you'd been unwell - hope you're feeling much better now
  2. Poor emaciated foster dog Kim, arrived yesterday, now got bad bladder infection

  3. Congrats!!! Hope you all have loads of fun together. Failed fosters unite
  4. So sorry to hear that - loads of love and positive thoughts for Daisy. Keep on cuddling
  5. Hi Gilly It was so brave of you to share your story about Spice. It sounds as though she had a marvellous, loving home with you and you took great care of her right to the end. It's such a hard time and hurts so much. You know you did the right thing for her but that doesn't really make it any easier. But remember that you gave her years of happy life which she might not have had if you hadn't happened to come along. If you can, try to keep looking at the old dogs waiting for homes on the Oldies site. One day, one will really touch you and then you'll know you're ready to care for another dog. I've not really got the hang of posting photos on here either - hopefully someone will help you out. Take care and don't expect too much of yourself too soon.
  6. Loads of good wishes to Mollydog from Bella and Josie - hope you'll be running around soon but not too soon. We meant to send you love before you had your op but we were busy waving bye bye to foster sister Jessie - we do miss her. Kisses from B&J
  7. Lovely pictures Ange - Bella is quite taken with Quinn
  8. Poor little Titch - so sorry to hear the news. Big hug for her fosterers who loved her and did the right thing for her - very sad time for them
  9. Message to Mollydog from Bella and Josie. Make sure you keep them running around after you for as long as poss. Loads of kisses from us
  10. How awful for you. Fingers crossed that it's just a sprain and she'll be rushing around again soon - you're worrying but I'll bet she's not :-))
  11. Oh poor Bailey - and poor family. Fingers crossed for the medication to help. I've had a dog with dementia so can imagine some of what you're going through.
  12. My new Oldies Club foster dog Jessie (see her in the Watch This Space section) won't have much room under her pillow tonight. She's just come back from an overnight stay in the veterinary hospital where they removed 18 of her teeth!! The tooth fairy is going to be very busy. Poor old Jessie, she's on liquid food for a week now and loads of antibiotics as there was a nasty infection there as well. She's only been with us for a couple of days and was in so much pain when she arrived but that wonderful goldie character is still shining through - never a complaint, just a waggy tail. Now the horrible teeth are gone and the arthritis is medicated - next week a lovely bath and groom and she'll be the belle of the ball. She deserves so much, she's absolutely adorable.

  18. When I can work out how to post pics on this I'd love to share a pic of them. I'm totally mad so I'm glad I'm in good company.
  19. I'm only a few miles from you!! Your goldie sounds gorgeous - aren't they all. My poor old dear has got advanced spondylosis so has trouble with her back legs but she manages amazingly well. Hi Maria - I'm near Epping.
  20. Oh, poor Tyler and how frightening for Lisa - gut torsion is such a scary thing! Still, at least he's got someone to love and care for him while he recovers. Fingers crossed for him and loads of positive thoughts from all of us.
