poppysfriend
my darling girl is now at rainbow bridge its with a heavy heart that she had to be put to sleep on tuesday afternoon, over the weekend she had shown her teeth to both mum and myself, i received a nip on the fingers from her and she went for speedy all of which was so out of character for her, so i phoned the vets on monday and one of them came to the house and after discussing what had happened and the fact that the vet also said that she had gone senile, was deaf and losing her sight had a cancer on the leg we all felt it was in her best interests to let her go so i got onto the floor and cuddled her while the vets nurst caressed her ears and the vet injected her so all 3 of us cuddled her and i was calling her a good girl, the nurse calling her a beautiful one, and the vet wishing her sweet dreams, she left us peacefully, quietly and with dignity but it hurts like hell, i know i did the right thing for her but the selfish side of me wants her back Edited June 5, 2008 by poppysfriend
