Tempest
Awww Billy I'm so sorry to hear that it's not better news for your lad I think you're doing absolutely the right thing in giving the op a try - I know there are no guarantees in life but it really sounds like the best option for you both Thinking of you and sending gentle squishes to Mal
kats n greys
Mal Billy. It's the option we'd take too, Mal is fine in himself and you know him better than anybody.

hushpuppy
Hey Billy and Mal, fingers (and Sadie's paws) crossed. Really hoping that this operation buys you more time together. Wishing you both all the very best and looking forward to your update. Lesley
Nettie
You know you're doing the right thing by him because you love him and he's in good spirits. I'm sure I'd go for that option too in your place. Lots of good thoughts coming Mal's way for a successful operation.
Jay
I don't know whether you've discussed the coughing with your specialist yet Billy but if not I would do so as soon as possible. It may be nothing but what I was gently trying to say to you in your other thread is that it could also be a bad sign in terms of the cancer spreading. I hope the cough is caused by something else but if not you may well need the specialists advice on it. Best of luck So sorry to hear about Mal and my thoughts are with you at this time. Five years ago I went through a similar time with my beardie Sam, he had lymphoma. He had a biopsy and I was advised by vet to have his lymph node removed, he had the op but it had spead too far. I can't help but agree with Ian, I would ask the specialist if he has ex rayed his chest (which he probably has done) to check that it is confined to the lymph node alone and has not spread to his lungs. I know what you are going through and feel for you and Mal but remember Mal doesn't know he is ill and his happy life goes on as normal while he feels well. Feel free to PM me if you feel I could help. to you Julie

Careli
I have only just caught up with this Billy. You two have been through so much together, you know Mal better than anyone. Whatever you decide will be exactly the right thing to do. Mal has told you in his own way that he is still prepared to fight this and you know intuitively this is what must be done - whatever the result, whatever the outcome. I have never met you or Mal, Billy, but you are both always somewhere in my thoughts - I will be thinking of you both even more now leading up to Mals operation on Wednesday
Laurel n Hardy
Billy You can make a decision then change your mind a dozen times second guessing yourself and all this will do is wear you out. If you think Mal has plenty of spirit & fight in him then maybe you should go with your gut instinct. Some of his strength he gets will be drawn from you directly, and you from him We are all here for support and a chat when needed gentle squishes to the lovel boy from me n my lot
