kimmy Posted January 16, 2008 Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 We (AARU - Animal Accident Rescue Unit) collected a small lurcher cross girl from a kennels a few days ago. She had a bad limp and after xrays under general anaesthetic was diagnosed with a problem where her shin bone goes over the top of her 'wrist' bone on one of her front legs every time she tries to put weight on it. The op is a specialised one so Pickle is being referred to an orthopaedic specialist. In the meantime, she became very ill tonight, was rushed to the vet by her fosterer, and has a womb infection. So the poor little girl is on a drip tonight, waiting to be spayed tomorrow. This means that she will need 2 weeks to recover before the leg op can happen. Pickle will be appearing on the Oldies Club site in due course, so please send her healing thoughts and look out for her when she is better and looking for a new home. Pickle is about 10 years old.
