  1. Thank you everyone for your kind words. I am still not quite sure how it all could happen so quickly. Snatch did get bladder problems on wednesday and he was unable to go for a wee. With being drained and medication he seemed to improve and on saturday evening he once again was unable to go for a wee properly and by sunday morning he was in obvious pain and could not pass even a drop. We went to the vets and after long discussions and the options I looked into my little man's eyes and saw the discomfort and pain and I knew I would be selfish if I would let him be proded and poked any longer as I wouldn't be doing it for him. Snatch passed away in my arms Cindy

  6. Steve is away for 4 days next weekend (Thursday - Monday) Can you imagine his face when he walks in and there is Sir H laying on the sofa wanting to say hello but not touching the laminate?
  7. Thinking of you and the chocolate princess
  8. Maybe Sir Henry would like to come and stay with his new buddy Steve for a while?
  9. Thank you everyone for the fantastic weekend. We got home, unpacked, showered and had a afternoon nap The red duo managed to get up for dinner and then fell asleep again and even this morning they didn't want to move I managed to make ZERO pictures so please post some more. However I can't believe we were the 'norty' corner
  10. I can't help as wrong side of the country but if someone would help but can't afford the fuel, I am happy to contribute £20 towards fuel cost to get her safe
  11. Still haven't packed a thing, looks like a early start for me tomorrow
  12. Aww Selina that is so lovely, thank you
  13. Thank you everyone for your lovely messages on and off line, I am all now. The Oldies Club has been such a huge part in my life and I have made so many good friends whilst working for the club and have met so many people who will put themselves second to put the dogs first and for this I will be forever greatful and it has been a inspiration. Thank you
  14. Dear All, Over the past months my life has become somewhat of a handful which has not only put a lot of strain on my personal life, but my health and my work and after a very very long debate with myself I have come to realise that I need to take a break from the Oldies Club in order to get my life back on track and to be able to give the 100% that I hope I have always given to the Oldies Club. As such I have resigned from my positions of Chair and Fostering Coordinator and with effect of today two very lovely and experienced ladies are taking over the role. I would like to stress that this has NOTHING to do with the Oldies Club but 100% to do with me. I see this more like a break and rest assured that at one stage in the future I shall be coming back to help the Oldies Club. The new Foster Coordinator is no one else than the lovely Claire and the new Foster Recruitment Coordinator is the lovely Sandra, both of whom are members here on the Refuge so I am sure they will add their two tuppence worth very soon I am in no doubt that they will do a fantastic job and that they will give the foster team and all the needy dogs the best of support and help. I would like to say thank you to all of you for the most amazing 3 years where I cried, laughed, chuckled and worried with you and your dogs. I am not disappearing of the forum, however I do have a new email address so if anyone would like this, just send me a PM and before anyone worries, no one could stop me from going to the camping trip tomorrow I don't think there is nothing else to say than Thank You and I know you will all make Claire and Sandra feel as welcome and supported as you did with me. I also would like to thank the Oldies Club Commitee for being so supportive and understanding Thank you Cindy
  15. Not sure if they will be yummy but they will be color coordinated, previous campers know what I mean
