Fee Posted March 28, 2007 Report Share Posted March 28, 2007 (edited) Since the Oldies Club started two years ago, over 900 of the older dogs listed on our website have been rehomed. We would like to challenge you to guess the date on which the magic counter on our home page will hit 1,000. The winner will receive an Oldies Club T-shirt or mug. Of course, we have no way of knowing how many of these dogs were rehomed directly as a result of the Oldies Club site, but we think 1,000 older dogs in loving homes deserves a bit of a celebration. There is no entry fee, but we would like all the 'losers' to pledge to send us something – this can EITHER be a doggy item for our foster dogs (collar, lead, coat, toy, treats etc) , OR something we can use as a prize on one of our fundraising tombolas (this can be anything – toiletries, ornaments, toys – but in new or as-new condition, please). If you would like to take part, post your chosen date below. You ARE allowed to choose a date that has already been picked, but if more than one person has chosen the correct date the winner will be picked out of a hat. If nobody guesses the magic date then the nearest person wins – again, if there is more than one nearest guess the winner will be drawn out of a hat. The winner and the winning date will be posted on this thread, along with details of where the 'losers' items should be sent. Thank you for playing! However the ball says you will be forgiven and there will be much , and if you can make it sooner. The crystal ball also thinks that the 1000 dog will be a lovely German Shepherd and wonders whether posters might also like to try and name the breed / double their gift if wrong?
