  1. Sorry, been waiting for an update. The dog is going to live with the lady's sister in law who can afford the treatment and any ongoing vet bills. The family will still be able to see their dog and know how it's doing so all in all a happy ending!
  2. This lady hasn't asked for anything but a home for her dog.
  3. Yes it is the Cav. I'm aware that it may be a case that all is not as it seems and the dog may be better off being rehomed, but one step at a time. She has offered to meet me and to let me talk to her vet about what treatment the dog needs. So I get the impression she genuinely cares but is torn abou the best thing to do. The least I can do is give her options at this stage and then move her down the route of rehoming if it's best.
  4. You'd think they would but they don't. I had a pup in some years ago that was left at the vet by travellers, it was really sick but the vet wouldn't treat until someone would agree to pay. In the end the Vet nurse paid so that that pup could go on a drip and start it's treatment. Will pass on your excellent suggestions when I speak to her tomorrow. I knew I could count on the Fugees to come up with some ideas. Will let you know what happens.
  5. Cindy those were my thoughts too. This isn't someone I know, but she was advertising her dog as she couldn't afford the bill and wanted to do the best by her friend. She has apparently advertised it two or three times and then pulled the ad because she doesn't really want to give her up. She is very torn between wanting to keep her friend and doing the best for the dog's health. Would be nice to try and help her find a solution. di
  6. There is a lady in Wiltshire who cannot afford £250 to get her dog's dental work done. She is therefore looking to rehome for the benefit of the dog. Not on benefits so PDSA/RSPCA no help and Vet won't allow them to pay monthly. They obviously love the dog and are torn up at having to part with it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where she can get help?
  7. Returned to very loving owner next day!
  8. We have a lodger! A colleague from work's son picked up this young lad running around in traffic tonight, phoned the Police but being Friday night they didn't expect to have anyone spare to take him to the kennels. So, next call was to me and off we went to collect him! He's only a young lad, 9-10 months maybe. Still entire. Very confused and frightened bless him. Will be off the the Police kennels in the morning if not claimed.
  9. I flick between The Great Escape and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Call's from my boss are set up as Yoda saying "message from the darkside there is!"
  10. Damn, I was up in this area this morning, didn't realise she was still on the loose!
  11. "Heaven is where you meet all the dogs you ever loved"
  12. Rach why don't you ring Pip she'll tell you off the top of her head!
