Alison
Would it count as an auction item if I were to offer my own time? I don't have anything else even vaguely saleable to donate but would happily spend a day stripping wallpaper, doing a mega clean on someone's house (or kennels or stables), shopping/cooking for a dinner party (or washing up after one and acting as a waitress), gardening etc. A sort of slave for the day - or weekend if distance is involved and someone would be prepared to put me up for the night. ReikiAnge
Sounds great Alison Just state how far you are prepared to travel -and maybe roughly where you are - etc. if relevant so people don't bid if they have no chance of being able to use your "services"
Alison
Just tell me where to post and when - this is my first experience of The Refuge Auction. Alison
Beat you to it Missus - I realised I was dim a split second before you had the satisfaction of pointing it out to me For a Reiki lady, you can be terribly harsh you know. Do you reserve your unkindness specifically for poor unfortunates like me who have "special needs"? Edited to add in answer to your p.s., yes, I'm sure that photos can be arranged Edited September 28, 2007 by Alison

Kaos
we don't *need* a photo of you stripping, but if you think it might help raise the bids Is this sort of thing really necessary? I know from past experience that the tone of these events can reach rather low levels, but p....lease! Just thinking that I could put up for auction 'a doggy experience day'...where someone who maybe considering offering a dog a home could borrow one of the 'krew' to discover just what fun a dog can be! or maybe 'lend a teenager' to a childless couple, just so they know what they are yearning for?! Mrs Mop
I have to admit that when I first read were the money for this auction was going I filled up. It has been a hard year for rescues but the amount of Staffies that Rochdale have had in and managed to place them all is incredible and due to the hard work of the big Three. Off to see what I can find now to put up.
Alison
Brilliant idea. How are you with dogs on skateboards and gardening. Erm, challenged? In for a penny, in for a pound...... I'll give everything a proper think as to what I really am capable of in terms of value for money. Wouldn't want anyone trying to claim their cash back under the Trades Descriptions Act or anything! I know from past experience that the tone of these events can reach rather low levels, but p....lease! I don't so someone had probably better tell me what I might be letting myself in for
