We moved this dog a couple of weeks ago

Hmm, a difficult one.........I grew up without a Dad and it does effect you, even now as a very independent 38 years old I sometimes get upset at the fact that my Dad doesn't want to know. I think what hurts more is that other people kept on forcing us together and then I would get more upset at the fact that he didn't keep in touch when he said he would. A clean break without any contact at all would probably have been much easier I think that you have probably done the right thing Ally by giving him an ultimatum............let's hope he grows some balls and does right by his children

Please meet Chas, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He is a very dark chocolate colour with white markings and he is a small to medium size. He has got lovely manners, walks nicely on his harness and he loves company. Our volunteers and the kennel staff all love Chas, saying that he is one of the nicest dogs ever! Please meet Roger, a Staffie Cross, male, approximately 10 years old. Roger is a dream, he is happy and friendly, getting along with everybody including other dogs. Please meet WIGGUM aka WIGGY, an English Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, male, approximately 8 months old. He is white in colour with brindle patches and is a smallish size. When he first came in to our care he had a very very bad skin condition that had been left untreated for some time and he was in some obvious discomfort. After numerous trips to our vet and a skin biopsy, he was diagnosed as having demodectic mange. This is fortunately an easily treatable condition and he is now well on his way to recovery (as you can see in the 2nd picture). He also had inturned eyelashes on one eye and he needed surgery for that. Wiggy is currently in a foster home with 2 other dogs, children and a cat. Here is what his foster carer has to say about him: very loving, house trained, crate trained, great with kids although excitable, eats well, loves to play fetch, gets on with dogs/cats, loves walks and walks quite well on lead, loves a soft blanket to curl up on, loves everybody he meets, loves cuddles and rolling in the grass, great in the car and bath, likes being groomed, loves chews, loves to sit on your knee, playful, quiet at night in his crate, a little star! He is now neutered and vaccinated and is looking for his forever home, we can't understand why he is still looking!! Can you help Wiggy and offer him a forever home? And a softie! He cries and cries and then when you pick him up he just lies there all quiet and still like a baby

A member of public took him to the vets to be checked out before the dog warden collected him. He's a stray so had to go to the stray pound

Unfortunately Callum has been put to sleep today, we currently have 15 dogs in emergency boarding and haven't the space or the funds to have been able to help him. I am so sorry Callum that we let you down

I am afraid to say that we have lost Bessie today When the girls went into her kennel this morning her legs had gone. She was taken straight to the vets but the vet said she had possibly suffered a stroke and the kindest thing would be to let her go R.I.P. now Bessie

I am afraid that we have some bad news re. Howard Today he has been for a scan as a urine sample showed blood and a high white blood cell count, he is also drinking a hell of a lot of water. Unfortunately he has advanced cancer in both kidneys, his prostate and all around that area He is a happy lad though, he is enjoying his walks, loves his food and sleeps through the night. He is not restless and is showing no signs of being in pain so he will be living out the rest of his days with the love and care he has so desperately missed out on in his previous life. I can never say enough how very very special Angela is Thank you Wendy (everybody else involved also thanked over on RDR) for helping this boy find happiness at last

We have nowhere for Dave and he is due on Wednesday I'm also very sorry to have to say that for the first time ever we are unable to help a dog, if Buffy is not re-claimed (her owners know where she is and say that they will not be claiming her) or does not find a rescue space she will be put to sleep as we cannot take any more Staffies. We have 11 in boarding and they are just not moving.............it's a nightmare. I have been dreading the day this happens
