EGAR
Those of you who check the website regularly will remember our Glor. He is here a long time and arrived in a deplorable state which sparked a fund raising campaign to enable us to pay for the medical help he needed. We had to hold Glor and his companion Sophie (who has since been re-homed) as "evidence" in a pending case of cruelty to animals. Glors owner had tried to kill him by hitting him with a hammer and then trying to suffocate him with a plastic bag. He had severe head trauma, his testicles were squashed and he had several broken ribs as well as numerous bone splinters in his body. We also had to amputate 2 inches of his tail and treat him for secondary skin infection. This is one of the most appalling cases we have EVER encountered. Unbelievably, Glor pulled through all the treatment and we are now allowed to re-home him!! Glor is app. 4 years old and a Pit Bull Terrier. He is neutered, vacc'd and wormed. His facial skin still requires close attention as he tends rub it on rough ground every now and then. He is absolutely pain free and no longer requires any medication. He is not aggressive towards humans but does requires management when it comes to dogs and other animals. Ideally, Glor would go to someone with Pit Bull experience as an only dog, someone who would not expect too much too soon. Glor adores humans despite his horrific ordeal. He is trusting and good natured but has the typical stubborn streak. He is in kennels here but would benefit from a home environment. He is a great dog and if ever a dog deserved a loving forever home then it is him. Glor will NOT be re-homed to the UK because of the existing law regarding Pit Bulls there. We want to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported us with donations, encouragement and other help for Glor. Many considered him a lost cause and asked us why we did not put him to sleep. He has proved them wrong and is now able to live a happy and pain free life. All that's missing is a couch he can call his own. Go on, you good thing!!

EGAR
Thank you, Cindy . He's a great little man and it's amazing how well he turned out after that horrific ordeal. I know he will be hard to re-home but it's worth a try. We've got all the time in the world as he likes being in the kennels and usually sleeps the day away .
