    Dog Wheels

Hi - Just wondering if anyone had any dog wheels that we could try? Ryker our boxer is 13 and his back legs have pretty much given up, we're not sure if he could manage them and would like to try before we buy some. We're in Wirral but happy to collect. Thank you x
  3. I am fostering an adult hamster and his 2 youngsters for the RSPCA They are not nippy but not used to alot of handling although this is improving each day I feel that they would be best suited to an experienced hamster home who can provide daily handling and used to fast moving furrys! Please note that a homecheck will be required. Thanks Here they are ... Dad Baby 1 - Female (9 weeks) Baby 3 - Male (9 weeks)

    Helly

Dear all Just thought you'd like to know that Di has had her shoulder op and is alive and well and so far hasn't hit anyone She had a nerve block injection but due to the nature of what they've done she is in alot of pain, I have advised her to take all drugs offered ! No doubt she will come and fill you all in on the gory details as soon as she is able
  5. Brill, thanks for the info, I'll contact them
  6. Hi all Haven't been on here for AGES but really need some advice re: insurance for older dogs. We are adopting another, an 8 year old rottie female and I've been trying to get her insured but can only get cover per condition due to her age. Have found one with Argos but it's £88 per month Any help greatly appreciated. Here she is
  7. Well done you for trying to help, I'm too far away but you could see if there are any rescues near to you that could help? Here's a list of Rabbit Rescues Could you not take them and rehome after a suitable homecheck? I could tell you what to look for? If you can borrow 2 dog crates then the rabbits would be fine in those. Is there an RSPCA near you? How can the petshop not know what sex the second rabbit is? They're not babies, so it's quite clear at their age! From the pictures it looks like the first is female and second is male, but that's just a guess from face/profile.
  8. Mr Penguin rang DT earlier and they still need donations of dog food, in particular TINNED food
  9. He's doing a UK tour, coming to Liverpool in March

    Meet Josie

Josie says thank you all for your wishes and says that she's settling in very nicely We've had no accidents from day one, the first day she came in and curled up into a tiny ball on the sofa and slept, think it was a case of "if I make myself small and close my eyes I'll be ok". 2 days later she was happy on the bed. She wags her whole body when we come home, and is now responding to her name although I have to try not to call her "Jo Jo" ! We are so proud of our lot for the way they have accepted her although poor Katie is walking round the place with the "my daddy doesn't love me anymore" expression, Misty is being fantastic although did tell J tonight that it was her chewstick, Ellie is being her usual cheeky self, Benny isn't sure but is happy being a muppet as usual and as for Ryker .... we don't think he's realised there's another dog in the house ! Yeh, no probs
  11. This gorgeus girly is 6 years old today, happy birthday Cheeky Chops, we luvs ya And even though it is your birthday your daddy can still tell you off for eating bunny poo !
  12. Thanks for all your thoughts and wishes, it means alot to us both. We know it will get easier but we're just devastated and can't believe it, in our heads we took in our healthy boy just for an xray. We're still just numb and very leaky, for the most part he was a quiet boy, bit of a loner at times ... yet the house feels empty. We went to collect him this morning, at the moment he's above his food bowl where he was happy, we'll move him next to Dino later. The others have been really good, this morning we were walking round like zombies and there was Misty sitting by her food bowl wagging her tail ... a reminder that life does and must go on. They are all being quiet and well behaved .. it's very eery. Thanks again guys for your messages of support, we really appreciate it x
  13. Thanks everyone. We're just numb, never expected this, we honestly thought it was maybe a piece of chew stick or something he'd eaten from up the garden. The vets said it was a very aggressive form of lymphoma, had already started to spread and was in his lymph glands. The options were ... well, none really. They could try chemo but it wouldn't cure it and would only buy us some time .. with a very poorly Ty. Apart from the runs and occasionally being off colour (as they all do from time to time) there had been NO signs, he had his usual tummy tickle this morning when he woke up, rolled etc, we're just lost for words. As much as I wanted to bring him home and try chemo at first I listened to the vets and we decided it was the kindest thing for Ty. The vets were keeping him under and put the op on hold until we could get there, they just let him go to sleep. The pet crematorium have rung, we should be able to bring him home tomorrow. Life is such a b**ch sometimes
  14. So sorry Karen Binky free Megan x
  15. So sorry Nicky That is a wonderful tribute to such a handsome man, and the photo's just echo what life is all about for a boxer, FUN ! No words can make it better, but we're thinking of you x
  16. Hi all Please can you spare some poitivive thoughts for our Misty Moos (aka Piddle Pants). She's been limping on her back left leg for a week now, is on Metacam which helps but has some lame and some none-lame days. She's gone in for x-rays of her hip and leg to see if anything shows up ... we're praying it's not her cruciate Can't collect her until tonight so will post an update when we know. Thanks all
  17. Happy birthday snuggle bum Well the birthday boy is showered, shaved and dressed tidily(ish) so I'd better take him for his birthday meal .... big mac and fries Rick? BTW - Tis our Misty's forever day so happy gotcha day piddle pants
  18. Happy belated birthday Rio, my you are a handsome chappie and your sister Maddie looks just like you Love from all at Chez Woof xx
  19. Thank you all for your birthday and good luck wishes Ryker had a lovely birthday, he came down to the pub for a short while (accompanied by Diva Katie naturally) and had lots of fusses, then came back to a dinner of roast chicken on his Burns. And the best bit .... his blood results are clear! So although he had some protein in the uring, all his blood tests were fine and normal
  20. Me too. Think they are a great price, fast delivery and have certainly survived the "gentile" play of 4 rotties and been bashed/covered in sand/mud/fox poop etc, a quick scrub and good as new. The other thing I liked about them is on one side I have the obligatory legal info (name/address etc) and the other side engraved with "neutered and microchipped". Have the red hearts and advise the medium/large size as the small is a wee bit too small although they did squeeze all the info on which I was impressed with!
  21. Oh those are ace pics! They look so very please with themselves
  22. So glad you started this thread cos I have been looking at getting one but because of cost I wanted to wait for some reviews! If it works for Dudly then I'm sure it'll work on a boxer and 4 rotts .... will have to wait for payday though
  23. This handsome boy is is 10 years old today, happy birthday sausage xx What a birthday treat though, he's at the vets at 11am for blood tests
