blackmagic Posted December 15, 2022 Report Share Posted December 15, 2022 Still snowy and icy here but sun is shining. I got my wheelie bin open this morning. It has been frozen shut for days. Boiler frozen again this morning but plumber came with half an hour of me phoning. He has resorted to drastic measures and cut the condesate pipe off at the boiler. That pipe goes outside and across the back of the house and has frozen up due to extended cold temperature. The water now drains into a bucket in the cupboard until the weather improves and it can be fixed properly. No point in doing it now as it will just freeze again. He said he had 20 calls to go to today for the same thing. The system is just not designed for this extreme weather. Threat of much snow on Friday but we are supposed to get some warmer weather on Sunday or Monday but it will not last. Climate change. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
