Hee hee Snow, maybe they could. She still hasn't registered her car over here despite acquiring it 18 months ago so she's not paying road tax and I doubt she will bother with an MOT. Dawg forbid anyone has a bump with her because trying to sort that with her Czech insurance, if she has any, may be a nightmare. She's been reported, by several neighbours fed up with her antics, but there's nothing been done

Thanks Alex! The builders forgot to take their extra strong light down whilst they could still reach it so we shall be fully illuminated for the next few days until the floor can be walked on. They said they were going to say they had to leave it on so they could see to make sure everything was smooth but decided to come clean and admit they just never gave it a thought until they looked up and a "whoops" moment :laughingsmiley:

Miss Czechoslovakia appears to have had a knock on the rear side panel of her car. It's dented and all scraped. It had nothing to do with me or my builders! It couldn't have happened to a nicer person though. I only hope she didn't damage anybody else's property.

Edited for an excess of thoughs

Thanks guys :) Am so glad he has started showing signs of improvement at last :)

I think I can be classed as a plane spotter - today on the way home from work, a plane flew over on it's way to Manchester airport and I could tell it was the dreamliner from the shape of its wings   Just checked flight arrivals and it was the dreamliner on a test flight from Gatwick. And I wonder why I am single

Well done Ted :)

My friend Chrissie took me shopping today and to library to return books, then to the garage. Car *may* be sorted, it has road tested well today after having been given some stuff to clear its injector needles. Mechanic is not happy as although he sorted various things that definitely did need sorting, he can't put his finger on what the final problem was. If it was grot in the injectors it could well have cleared. It does need a replacement filler pipe for the fuel tank as that is all rusty as was leaching particles into the fuel, now stopped by new fuel filter. So I am going to drive it tomorrow up to the Subaru specialists just outside Chesterfield to get that. If it goes well. excellent. If it starts missing and spluttering again, the specialists can sort it as they have diagnostic widgets for nearly-classic cars which my mechanic doesn't.

I can't really afford to hire a car as well as repair this one. But with any luck either it is now sorted or will be very soon.

I do feel a bit happier now except that the ankle is very painful.

Went to sleep early and had a road walk at 5 with Wispa. Off to garage soon to pick up car and drive it up to Scoobyclinic. Everything crossed it gets that far without a recovery vehicle!

Had a phone call from mum's main carer who is really good, one of the best. But I wish she would get my name right. I don't mind whether she calls me Phebe or my official name Danzil. I will even tolerate Denzil though I find it mildly annoying. But this lady insists on calling me Diesel. I have politely corrected her twice and don't like to nag, especially as she is so brilliant with mum. I am no Barbie doll but it is a bit too butch for me.

Oh Owl I am sorry to laugh at the carer calling you Diesel. You look less like a Diesel than anyone I can imagine. Phebe suits you perfectly :) Good luck with the car this morning. I'm sending positive thoughts :flowers:

No pre 6.00am hello from Alex. I'm beginning to wonder if she's slept in!
