April's Alluring Orations

My son and little grandson Aidan came up from Sussex on Friday, until early yesterday afternoon, first time I've seen them since November! He's a little whirlwind, and I'm absolutely exhausted! One thing I must remember in future..when a slender but heavy two year old launches himself from the back of the settee expecting you to catch him (which I did!), it plays havoc with arthritic wrists  I feel as if I need about a week to recover!

Looking angelic (very misleading!)

Aww, he looks like he has PLENTY of energy.

Evening all :flowers:

I had IT bod come to see me today to try to find out why my folder has disappeared from the network. It went last week, but they have only restored an empty folder. I had all my year end stuff up to date and all my work/spreadsheets/letter templates, in fact Everything was in there. Guess what he asked me?

He asked my to open up the folder and show him what was missing! i thought April fools day was last week

I am a bit  at one of my friends who works at our company. She's brassed off with the management, (not over anything major)so she's taking this week off sick. she will get full pay for this skiving. to add insult to (non) injury, she has been on Facebook, pretending this "illness" is keeping her awake and posting throughout the day, how bad she feels. I am sitting on my hands so as not to post something that she might not take kindly too. I think it's just taking the mick, especially as Keith has been awake all night with some lurgy, couldn't get up this morning, is genuinely ill and won't get paid!

Rant over

Im not backing the woman up, but when lewis was ill the other week, he found that if he had a couple of days off he wouldnt get paid, but if he had a week off, he would get paid for the lot! silly system, and makes you have longer off. he did need it, but others might just need a couple of days

im doing 2 homechecks, for staffys, hope they both pass

have a nice day xx

Tomorrow I'm meeting a Fugee. :bigsmiley: Who's meeting Tigger and Daisy. :worried_anim: I am pretty sure I will end up :blush02:

Did do work on Saturday - just under 6 hours and ended up feeling completely crook when I got home. Lots of dross dealt with, but this week is heading down hill fast and the powers that need have remembered another huge task that want completing. By yesterday!

Delighted to hear the good news about what Mothering Sunday meant to Snow.

Maybe we should change the name of Mothering Sunday to Popping Sunday for Snow?

I'm moderately annoyed. When I saw a GP last Thursday morning, she said she couldn't refer me to a cardiologist until she got a letter and ECG scans from the hospital, but as soon as she did the surgery would contact me to arrange an appt, and I should phone today or tomorrow to make sure the letter had arrived. I rang at lunch time..oh yes, the letter came from the hospital on Friday last week. Oh good, so can we arrange the cardio appt then? no, not yet, the doctor hasn't dictated the letter to you, and until they do we wont know which specialist you need to see. Excuse me? we are talking about a possible heart problem here, wouldn't a little urgency be in order? She's told me to phone again on Friday if I haven't heard anything by then. I wonder how many people actually die before they manage to get the doctor to do what they are supposed to be doing? I have a feeling my OH will hit the roof when I tell him.
