just got back from a walk after picking up Tessie at the vets.

Her x-rays show multiple round shadows across both her lungs,

which the vet has interpreted as small multiple tumours :mecry:

he said because she is bright, alert and active this can be managed

in the short term, but there is no treatment for her.

She has had one steroid injection and I am going to go back in

a week, if she is the same then I can start Tessie on a course

of steroids in tablet form.

However he did say it was only a matter of time, and if she suddenly

deteriorates and starts to suffer then it would be kindest to

let her go.

I am sitting here in bits, Tessie is my little girl and the only foster

ever to melt my heart. She is just the cheekiest drama queen ever,

and loves to get and keep daddys attention. After everything

that happened last year I am now going to lose Tessie to cancer as well.

I just want to keep my little girl safe, and wanted to do so much

this year, take her to formby sands, run on the beach, get her an

ice cream, go back home to somerset for the westie walk, get her

on one of the oldie walks too.

just can't imagine the house without her, barking and talking to me

so's I kneel down for kisses.

am going to head downstairs to snuggle the boys on the sofa

which means my ickle girl will end up asleep on my chest

Sorry the news hasn't been better.

Enjoy the time you have with Tessie - make time to go and do some of the things you have planned - there's nothing stopping you from going to the beach and having some fun together - it doesn't have to be the summer.

And Tessie doesn't know how ill she may be - she just knows that she has a very special daddy :GroupHug:

I am so sorry the news wasn't better. Big Group_Hug_Emoticon.gif for you.

Tessie doesn't know how ill she is. So you take her to all the places you had planned. Tessie will enjoy herself, she already knows that you are the bestest dad ever.

Enjoy the hugs with her. You might have longer than you think. Group_Hug_Emoticon.gif
