elricc
Just goes to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks. It's been a long time coming but we can confidently say that Vena goes off just like the other dogs. Look at me run Posing with the others There really have been times when I thought we'd never get there, but we have, still full of oddness and quirks, but very happy. Just wanted to say thank you to all the people who thought about her and showed such an interest, it kept us from thinking we were mad taking on a dog like Vena. merledogs
Oh dear, I appear to have something in my eye I know how difficult it is with a nervous dog - two steps forward, one step back - but you have worked absolute wonders with her

Fee
Completely off topic (and not wanting to detract at all from the lovely Vena ), but what is the white object in the second picture, it's been driving me nuts trying to work it out! elricc
it's the plastic version of a scarecrow, dog always bark at it, then piddle on it. Crops are sugar beet, it covers lots of East Anglia
safneo
A miraculous sight! I remember reading the heartbreaking updates from the early days and being overjoyed at the smallest thing, when she came out of the 'larder' on her own? Such a fantastic picture if you know the story behind it. Clever girl Vena and well done Mummy!
