Abigailj Posted May 16, 2009 Report Share Posted May 16, 2009 (edited) My fabulous Roar who was so handsome, funny, inspiring and generous has gone. He had been ill for a couple of months now and had been to a referral centre where he had various tests. They thought he had a liver disease and at one point he improved significantly. He suddenly got worse about 10 days ago so they did some biopsies which came back yesterday. They showed that he had carcinoma in various parts of his tummy. They said they couldn't do anything to help him at this point and that he wouldn't have long at all. He had visits from his favourite people last night - his old kennel staff and dog walkers who he loved so much. He didn't seem comfortable in the night and was very weak this morning, just lifting his head for a cuddle and a bit of chicken. It had been two months since he got poorly so I guess he did well. He let me know that it was time to help him on his way. He was a world class friend - my best ever! and I shall miss him terribly.
