cycas
Ash bunny has had e.cuniculi for 2 years now, and until recently was coping well, despite terrible teeth and a back leg that didn't work properly. In the last few days however, she has suddenly started losing weight, and last night late, her legs gave way. It didnt' stop her eating a big pile of curly kale, but she can now only stand if you prop her up. We'll be at the vet at 10:10, but there's not going to be anything that can be done for her now. I'm sort of grateful that she's made it so clear: I was a bit worried it would be dragging on with no clear point to say 'enough is enough' but this time there is no question, it's time to say goodbye. Here she is looking very grumpy, back when she was young and lovely: And with her friends, she'll be seeing them again soon I hope: Goodbye Ash. cycas
Karen, I meant to say, I can't thank you enough for your advice and on how best to look after Ash after she became ill. Thanks also to all the other Fugees who have offered their advice and experience on caring for disabled rabbits, your ideas really helped a lot to give Ash a good quality of life in her last two years.
