Bye Bye Bruin

I've just said goodnight to Bruin.

He's always been one of the dogs I've never said much about but it didn't mean I loved him any less than the others. He was already an old dog when I got him, although I've no real idea how old I suspect he may well have seen 14 or 15 birthdays altogether.

In the 5 and a bit years I've had him he's almost always had a really bad skin condition and been more or less permanently on steroids. Over the last few weeks he has become increasingly poorly with his body just generally just packing up, after a long chat with the Vet we decided his quality of life was no longer good enough.

I don't think he ever really recovered from losing Ailis and then Blythe, he loved both girls, tonight he's gone to the Bridge to join them.

Run free my darling, funny Bruin, free from itches and stomach upsets, enjoy the sunshine with your girls.
