Nettie
Thanks everyone. Bertie is bit limpy on one leg which looks very red and grazed below his stopper pad. The reason the dog managed to have a chew on his back feet was because as I went down I grabbed him trying to protect his head and throat and I managed to cover him with my body except for his back feet. Probably a really stupid thing to do but it was an impulse and I just didn't want this dog to be able to have a go at him. Indy is a fairly large dog and the staffie managed to do a lot of damage. Bertie is much slighter and wouldn't have stood a chance against a rottie

Nettie
He's a bit quiet and subdued today, not words that are normally applicable to my delicate little flower.
Rileyroo
Poor Bertie, and you. He must be feeling a bit bemused and wondering why it always happens to him. Lots of cuddles from Riley and me - and sossages, obviously.

Nettie
I've just taken him for walk on Wimbledon Common, just the two of us, and he had a fantastic time, played with lots of other dogs, went swimming and played with a couple of black labs so seems none the worse for his experience. He's now knackered and I'm very happy!
