Which Oldie Do You Wish You Could Adopt?

One dog that I would love to have is Buster he reminds me so much of Bobby my first dog. I love Pippa too though, she is such a sweetie.

but the one I have really fallen for is Amedeo. He is 15 years old half blind and deaf. He was found as a stray in Sept 2006. The only problem is that Amedeo is in Italy.

Oh, Gio, he's so adorable. Can't you go to Italy and get him? Go on, you know you want to. :GroupHug:

I shouldn't have read that - poor lad still waiting after TWO YEARS :(

And poor Benny's been waiting 4 years. :mecry:

I have a soft spot for Scout, Major and Shell.

I would like the 3 of them!!!! so they could stay together, I would like to be that kind soul who could offer them all a home! but OH said if I had them I could not foster

I would also like to have a bigger dog in the family but not sure if my small one's and OH would cope with this but if they did then I would go for http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=2273 or http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=1964 or maybe http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=2119

Looks Like I need a bigger house

I think there's been a lot of interest in Scout, Shell and Major, Cheryl, but it looks like they will be rehomed separately. Coventry RSPCA told me earlier this week that Scout and Shell are reserved. :flowers:

Suprisingly (not  ) I am in love with Haze, who is waiting since December 2006 :mecry: :mecry:

Then there is Smithy. He was returned to Bath RSPCA in May 2003 aged 4, it is now July 2007 and he has become a oldie whilst waiting for that special home. :mecry: :mecry: :mecry:

This is Smithy's link http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=382

I have met this intelligent boy, he knows his sign language and is happy to play with his toys entertaining until he thinks you are not interested anymore and then takes himself to bed.

Is it because he is deaf? Or because he needs someone who is willing to work with him and give him the guidance and love and time to become the fantastic dog that lies beneath?

I really hope that he finds a home soon.

Cindy :)

Jo I've already tried to convince my mother that adopting this old boy would be good for my dad but she won't have it. I did send my dad (dad would've taken him home straight away but is MOTHER who has the final say) to see him though and he told me that the staff at the rescue recons he probably won't have more than a year to live. He is a cocker type dog. I am working on how to get him :ph34r_anim: :ph34r_anim:

Valerie the 11 year old greyhound from many Tears. She is on the oldies website.

Finding myself going back and looking at her every day hoping she has found a home.

I keep looking at Valerie too, she'd make a lovely girlfriend for my old boy Flyn. And Stella http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=2275, her pal has found a home and left her still looking :mecry:

What about poor Rocko? http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=1636 I thought he'd be one for Cindy?

Oh no have you seen Jemima the boxer dog at Lizzies Barn. She's 16 and has lived with another dog in an outbuilding for over a year. Thank goodness she's at Lizzies. At least she will have fun and tenderness there rather than being stuck in kennels.

It's probably the no other animals or children that's slowing him down Cindy. I've looked at him several times over the years but this never changes. With 2 kids and 3 dogs plus other creatures here we wouldn't be considered.
