  1. i hate going in the school. I always think that horses mess around far more in there than they do on a hack because they know the school is work.Even when I worked at a dealers yard and I had to try the horses out I preferred to hack them out.
  2. great pics of lovely dogs. x
  3. good luck at the vets and I hope it is something simple. x
  4. what a lovely picture and beautiful dogs, obviously well trained as well. xx
  5. I can't get it to work so I can't see it.

  7. bless him, loving and healing thoughts from Cher and the girls. xx
  8. oh my, how gorgeous is that. I am so glad that you are so far away from me!!
  9. my hubby is good at shopping and prefers to go by himself,he says that I take too long looking at things (deliberately...never!!) he always gets everything that I ask him to but he always comes back with a couple of "bargains" too. Not always what we need but usually something that we can use.He likes looking for "BOGOF" offers and getting a good deal so I am happy to let him go.
  10. I did my 1 and 2 many many years ago but never got as far as my 3 for several reasons. I have been in horses for 51 years and always tried to do it the natural way long before it became fashionable!
  11. Altho mine are rarely left for longer than a couple of hours at a time they have the run of the house plus access to a safe and secure back garden through a dog flap so it is very different to being crated and unable to get out.I think 4/6 hours in a crate is long enough to go without a break for a house trained adult dog that is happy to sleep, less for puppies.

    Omg

I feel totally sick and can't think of words strong enough to describe the evil morons who did this to the poor baby. I hope they get struck down with some horrific disease and die a slow painful death themselves!
  13. poor little mite, the brood bitches are so badly used and abused in the puppy farms. what a lovely poem. xx
  14. luckily mine wont eat them as I hate the smell! mine love pigs ears and they are horrible too. I wouldn't have thought that three or four a day would hurt at all. Dogs eat much larger amounts of tripe in one day. If he likes them then let him have them.
  15. rest peacefully little love, what on earth are these people thinking of!! rest peacefully little love, what on earth are these people thinking of!!
  16. They are currently called Rupert and Roxy. Rupert is a comedien, his tail goes round like a helicopter and it never stops. He is the happiest and silliest dog ever.He is just starting to play and likes to pick up the horse brushes, chuck them and then pounce on them. He just lurves people..............all people especially kids! Roxy was very thin and very wary and shy but she is much better now and is becoming really friendly. She is very gentle and not pushy. Her coat is starting to get a shine now and she likes kids too. Here they are mugging one of my grandsons for his sarnies. Roxy tripped him over and Rupert ran off with them. Then they licked him to death to say thank you!
  17. I think,in the present anti rottie mood, that I am going to find it much harder than normal to find homes for these two altho they are both lovely dogs.
  18. just thought that I would share this picture of the two rescue rotties i have in.I am feeling rather low at the moment and their lovely smiley faces cheer me up.
  19. my Jessie was pts today. She was thought to have been a bait dog for pit bulls and was badly mauled when she was found. She was always feisty, gobby and ready for a scrap but she got worse over the last few months until she got really noisy and aggressive. She went to the vets for a checkup last week and then for x rays and scans on Monday. The results showed 3 old skull fractures with some brain damage and a large inoperable tumour behind her right eye. It was causing her a lot of pain so I cuddled her to sleep. I loved her dearly and miss her. Sleep easy my lovely girl. Our holidays in the caravan will not be the same without you. xxxx Cher,Ebbi and Kizzy. xxx
  20. poor foals. I had a drama today too. I opened the paddock gate to let george and Bailey in and they both usually go straight into their own stables but today George blew his top. He ran backwards away from his stable and then proceeded to do his stallion impression round the yard, tail up huffing and puffing. I looked into his stable in case it was a cat,rat or similar but I couldn't see anything! by this time I was getting cold and wet so I tried to shoo him in,this time he reared right up............unheard of for George!!! I grabbed a rope and took him over to his scarey stable and he started looking down and going wide eyed and snorting.............................at a tiny bit of white paper floating in a little puddle by his doorway!!!I removed the ferocious bit of paper and he rushed past me! Stoooopid horse!
  21. Domino is lovely,he looks very elegant for a cob.
  22. here is a pic of George ,it was a nice sunny day so I turned him out without his rug on so that he could have a roll around in the mud. He duly obliged, several times and here is the proof!
