  1. When we got our first greyhound from a shelter he had Laryngeal Paralysis but he'd had the operation, he was about 12 when we got him & we were not told about the condition they just said mind the wound near his ear .We had him two years he couldn't run without a choking gollum noise after a couple of mins ,if he barked he also started choking ..which was no good when seeing other dogs ..he also collapsed a couple of times ,but the worst was in 2006 the very hot weather litterally killed him, one day we had taken him back to see the shelters vet because he was an oldie we would have help & he started to choke & go blue ..he was put to sleep at the side of the road that day ..he was a lovely old boy & they all remember him from the shelter ..if we'd known about the condition we could have been more careful....i hope your dog Cocoa has a long & happy life it helps when you know things

  10. It's a lovely photo ..it reminds me of one of mine ,my eldest lad looking down smiling at me younger lad ..it was my mums favourite picture

I have no money either & not likely to have ..a couple of years ago i did shoe boxes for the Romanian children ..i loved doing it with little things in a shoe box which the kids would really appreciate ..not like our kids ,i just want to sit in front of my fire with the dogs & a glass of Irish Cream ,beam me over to Jan NO i forgot it's the Daughter's 18th birthday ..beam me to Feb

  14. 20 years ago when i was in council property you shouldn't have had animals it's only when you read the rent book you notice it then .I kept quiet & ended up with 2 dogs & 2 cats before it was allowed ..i know someone with 8 yorkies now it's when the neighbours complain if they bark you may get into trouble here

Hi my name is Carol I live with the old grump Derek it's cos wer'e getting on in years got 2 kids at home Ian 19 Jennifer 16 our eldest Tony has his own family he's 34 .We have 2 dogs Puddle full foster age 8 to 10 he's cute he has a heart murmer from Dogs Trust .Kizzy from Greyhound Rescue Yorkshire ex racer from Ireland a nutty senegal parrot not human friendly ,one alley cat who i feed lives in a 5 star box in my alley,and Jennifer's hamster squeak.We live in Bolton and thats about that i'm always on these sites watching the stress levels going up for all you lot getting places for the poor creatures that end up in pounds keep it up
