  1. Great don't have to cook Think there maybe a bit of a queue at the chippy on Friday! Just been packing up the camper as I am away at uni until thurs night...so poor hubby left to cope with dogs kids and packing....so if anyone sees poor harassed Mr Julesnmilo aka Andy then pour him a drink, think by Friday he will have more than earned it!!! Really looking forward to it, fingers crossed for sunshine
  2. Another houndy on a forever sofa....great news well done to everyone for getting Brian sorted
  3. What a relief....keep smiling Susie
  4. Fab count us in.....how many of us will be on the camp has anyone counted up?
  5. Does non scary mystery event include dogs and children??? Is it anything to do with cocktails...thinking I might lose kids hubby and dogs
  6. I have an 8 yr old son and 11 yr old tom boy daughter and a grumpy 13 yr old girlie!!!!
  7. Sorry the pics are so big! Nuggett was a very special boy and we all felt an instant atraction to the little lad. He was for the most part happy and fun , loving tennis balls other dogs and the children especially. Thankyou to the oldies club and the transporters who made is possible that Nuggett got to spend his last weeks being the dog he was, happy and lively. His final days were sad, but I do feel that he went with love and dignity. We won't forget Nuggy, and I hope he is a wonderful example of the life these oldies still have no matter how long or short that time may be, it is worth every minute. Run free Nuggy, every time we lose a tennis ball I wonder if you have it.
  8. Hi folks WOW just come back after a sad week, and I am glad I signed up for this camp now!! Not having met anyone I was a bit worried but everyone looks like they intend having a good time Ok I will bring 20 veggie sausages 3 bottles Squash for kids (it is the yikky Rocks organic one but without it my son will be bouncing off the caravans!!) 10 meaty kebabs Can also find some paper plates n cups leftover from parties!! Is anyone else out there a newbie??? OOps forgot to say Cider n 2 bottles of Red wine.....but will be bringing gin n other lovelies too!!!
  9. I can do Norfolk. I will contact you.
  10. I cuddled Nuggett until he passed at 6pm. He was a brave boy and went with peace and dignity...essential oils burning and surrounded by people who loved him. Nuggett was a lovely man, and I would have loved to have met him in his younger days. His love for life was so strong right up until yesterday tennis balls made his eyes light up. I am sorry that there was not more I could have done, but Nuggy had scrummy food walks and love. We will bury him under the apple tree (thought he might think apples look like tennis balls!!) Thankyou to the Oldies club for giving him a chance. Shall be giving all by dogs some extra kisses tonight. We should enjoy every moment with them as we really don't get long enough.
  11. Hubby taking over cuddling duties...Nuggett is on his way to the bridge. I have held him for the last two hours and I think his little mind has already gone to play with his pals at the bridge, his little body is strong and not quite ready to follow. Andy my hubby is a Dr and our lovely vet is giving him the right stuff to help Nuggy on his way so that he can stay on the sofa being cuddled. I wanted to tell you so you can wish him well as he travels on.... Anyway back to more Nuggy snugs.
  12. Nuggett is very very weak today, had to make him take his tablets which was so sad. Keeping him all warm and comfy. Hoping the tablets will kick in. Thanks for all your messages, every hug has been passed on..promise!!
  13. Ok the vet feels that Nuggett has some neuro problems which is why he is falling over, he has alot of muscle wastage on his back end. The reason he is so thin is because he cannot retain any protein, so that will account for the blood we are seeing. Therefore he needs a very light diet. He has put him on more steroids and cannicur, if he is still feacally incontinent with blood in 72 hrs it will probably be time to let him go. I am so sorry. Lets hope for a last minute reprieve.
  14. Oh my goodness What is wrong with people!! You poor things I know our police do this sort of thing now as funding has changed, but they usually pass it back onto the DW to issue a lead and muzzle order..... Remember under the Dangerous Dogs Act a dog has to only be percieved as a threat to have an order slapped on it. I would go down that route rather than OH going round, at the moment you have done nothing wrong, you don't want to get in a pickle with the owner whereby they state your OH was threatening in any way (not suggesting he would be but you know what I mean!!) Even if it is someone you know you have a right to be safe as do your dogs. I hate the way people think their dogs can do what they like...this is also not fair on his dog as he is letting his dog get into all sorts of trouble. Anyway good luck in whatever you decide to do.
