ailsas mum
I hate Dysons and will never ever have another one, I've got a Bissell lift off and it's fantastic, I just need to remember to wash the filters every so often and it's like new again with no loss of suction unlike the Dyson ( 3 of them ) which lost suction very quickly. kats n greys
Another Sebo fan here, -use to have a Dyson and had terrible hayfever all the time, since getting the Sebo my hayfever has lessened to almost nothing.
Mags
I'm another one who would never have another Dyson. I bought a Henry about a year ago and love it. I was tempted to get the pink one but reckoned hubby wouldn't use it
ranirottie
We had a Dyson upright for donkeys years and it never let us down. It was brilliant on carpets, dogs hairs vanished like magic, but it was too strong for rugs and lifted them clean off the floor!! It wasn't as good for laminate either so we gave it to a friend and bought a smaller "pull along" Dyson which works brilliantly on the laminate and tiled floors. So another Dyson fan here. x PS Jazz, you know I go to Dunstable every tuesday, you only have to ask if you want something picked up x Edited June 2, 2010 by ranirottie

Gemstone
I have a Dyson, have had several I never use the filters which is a bit naughty but a local repair man told me it would pick up better without them and it does!
Brenda
I have the Dyson Animal which is fab, never had a vacuum cleaner so efficient. Mine started to 'smoke' yesterday, been repaired a couple of times, think I need a new one, but they are expensive. However, I have had it years and it is used at least once a day. merledogs
Just resurrecting this cos I need a need vacuum cleaner. It must be a bagless cylinder. I don't want a Dyson - had two, both broke in relatively short time. Any recommendations please, I'm looking to spend no more than £100 if poss? merledogs
I have found this one which only costs £67.50 on Amazon but which has great reviews on Amazon, Argos and Reevoo. Samsung SC8442 Has anyone got one of these? Edited August 28, 2010 by merledogs
chickentikka
Don't get one of these I bought it for upstairs, especially in the small furries room - it overheats, cuts out and gets blocked with anything larger than a bit of dust. ranirottie
we had one of those for about two hours. We have laminate floors and they had already been swept but it clogged up right away. So we took it back and swapped it for a dyson,no complaints now. x

cycas
I bought a Vax Power 2 Pet recently: for the money I think it's pretty good. Not as good a suck as our big Dyson for the middles of floors, but great for edges and stairs and things. Picks up a lot of hair. http://reviews.argos.co.uk/1493-en_gb/4063854/reviews.htm
