Update on Caffery,

Nose Bleeds have continued at rate of 2 to 4 a day, but he isnt in any pain and comes to us for his nose to be wiped..

We have had him at another vets today for second opinion and again Caffery went into Diva mode, Dont Touch Me... and vet thinks same its a tumour, however he is having an xray tommorrow and they are going to look up his nose just in case... so he will be under anaesthetic.. If its bad news as we have been told, then as we said he can carry on for long as hes in no pain or discomfort.

The metacam for osteoarthritis has turned him into a puppy so we took him to the park to see how he would cope and SPLAAAAAAAAAASHHHHHH, straight into the pond for a good swim and he loved it... however further on during the walk he found a muddy pond and came out all black lol.. he loved it and no nose bleed..

Hes eating and drinking fine and their is no other signs, so fingers crossed.. gosh its our wedding anniversary tommorrow and we planned all to go out to formby point beach with dogs and a picnic.. now its at the vets, not bothered, would be lovely if they turned round and said they both were wrong, living in hope

karen and caffery x

Vet has also put him on Oxycare but I dont know much about these drugs, does anyone know... he likes them covered in salmon paste

Caffery underwent his xray and biopsy this morning, sadly it was an aggressive tumour which was covering all his snout and on its way to his brain.

We had a phone call from the vet and we went down to speak with them.

Sadly we have made the heart breaking decision, to let Caffery join Rosie Buttons and Sammy and James the cat at Rainbow Bridge, he was very drowsy and we cuddled him and told him, he would not have any more nose bleeds and hes been a fantastic dog and we love him to bits and to go and find ~Rosie...

Caffery passed onto Rainbow Bridge at 2.45pm today...

Caffery has been with us all our lives since we got together, one hell of a fantastic dog, we didnt want him to suffer no more and the nose bleeds esp yesterday were quite bad, and he doesnt do vets and thought if it was any worse it would have been more stressing for him.

Run free the eternal puppy, where your legs wont let you down and no more nose bleed, till we meet again Caffers...

Love you with all our hearts

Mum and Dad and Pudsey, Millie, Lottie, Fern, Fliss, Maddoch and Badger the dogs, and devil cat and marmite and the rabbit and fish and hamsters...

YOU WILL ALWAYS BE OUR TOP DOG XXXXXXX
