Melp Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Share Posted May 16, 2008 Thankyou The vet thinks it's one of three things. An abcess [he says this is unlikely] a haematoma or a soft tissue tumour. On Monday shes being admitted to have some blood taken from it. If that shows nothing obvious they'll x-ray. He seems to think the lump itself isn't bony but it's not soft either. She's not in any pain at all with it but the site and size is making everything else shove over which makes full movement difficult. Bless her, she hates the vets and hates being left there She's been given a course of anti inflammatory anti biotics so on the offchance it is an abcess we should start to see some reduction in size by Monday. Trev came hom, burst into tears and said he's not ready to lose her yet Hopefully it won't be anything as serious as that! She's had a good run lately. We were used to her being poorly bt have gotten used to her being ok so this is a bit of a shock. I'll update as soon as I know anything but thankyou for your good wishes.
