I used to volunteer for a cat rescue, where 3 of my 4 came from, until I moved. OH and I have been together 25 years and always had dog(s), always rescue and until now somehow collies or their x's. Well now I have a problem there, I have pics. in my camera but have not yet fathomed how to get them attached to anything on PC. Welcome to The Refuge. You could probably connect your pc & camera with a usb lead & the appropriate software.
