:mecry: So very very sorry Mel.

Your special boy is already at the Bridge telling them all what a wonderful two and a half years he had - tis you, his Mum, who is left to miss him until you see him again.

My thoughts are with you Mel.

Run free and happy at the Bridge Cisco - you were and indeed always will be truly loved.

I am sorry Mel, I remember when you first got him and his story.

Loss of an Angel Dog.

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep,

I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep,

I whined to you softly, as you brushed away a tear,

It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,

You were thinking of me many times, your hands reached out to me,

I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore,

I longed to take your parcels, I wished I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, you’ll tend it with such care,

I want to reassure you that I’m not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for the key,

I gently put my paw on you, I smiled, I said, It’s me.

You looked so very tired, and sank into the chair,

I tried so hard to let you know that I was standing there,

It’s possible for me to be so near you every day,

To say with certainty, I never went away.

You sat there very quietly, then smiled , I think you knew,

In the stillness of the evening, I was very close to you,

The day is over, I smile and watch you yawning,

And say “Goodnight, Godbless, I’ll see you in the morningâ€,

So when the time is right, for you to cross the brief divide,

I will rush across to greet you, and we’ll stand side by side,

I have so many things to show you, there’s so much for you to see,

Be patient, live your life out,

THEN COME HOME TO ME.

Mel I'm so sorry, Cisco was indeed a very special hound.

And God asked the old dog, “Are you ready to come home?â€

â€Oh, yes, quite so,†replied the precious soul, “and, as a dog, you know I am most able to decide anything for myself.

â€Are you coming then?†asked God.

†In a minuteâ€, replied the whiskered angel, “my human friends are troubled, because you see, they need me.

â€But don't they understand?†asked God, “that you'll never leave them? That your souls are intertwined, for all eternity? That nothing is created or destroyed, it just is....forever and ever and ever.

â€They do understandâ€, replied the glorious soul, “for I am just whispering into their hearts, that I am always with them. I just am....forever and ever and ever. “

Rest easy precious boy.

I am so very sorry to hear this, its sad when any Refuge dog goes to the bridge but it was obvious to me that Cisco was a bit special.

I remember very well your posts when he first came to you and the lovely drawings of the event, made me laugh and cry at the same time.

Cisco had a great life with you and knew lots of love and kindness. You should be very proud of him for overcoming the bleak years and very proud of yourself and your lovely family for giving him that chance.
