Houndwoman Posted February 21, 2007 Report Share Posted February 21, 2007 My heart is aching The miracle that we hoped and prayed for didn't happen. Holly was helped on her way to the Bridge yesterday afternoon at 3.15pm. She became ill on Sunday and didn't want to or couldn't eat. She was taken to the vets' on Monday and they gave her a couple of injections to try and perk her up but she continued to go downhill and by Tuesday was very weak and almost collapsed. There was no more could be done and the kindest thing to do was to free her from her discomfort and send her to the Bridge where she could start again. Her mum and dad brought her here today for burial and she was laid to rest with great dignity Please think of the pain and sadness that her owners are going through and send your love to Stanley who will be so sad without her. This will be the third companion he has lost in under four years.
