Sorry, another quick one from me!

Good luck with the showing Jacky - someone was tryign to persuade me to show Rolo in hand at easter - given that he doesn't trot in hand that could be an uissue - plus he looks a mess - his feathers are onyl just growing back etc etc.

Interesting about the Myler bits - Rolo is in a french link as he has such a shallow mouth, but we do get brake failure every now and agin, and he does like to lean on it.

Not at all envious about beign to hack in Windsor Great park Clare

Glad that east is keeping you on your toes!! :)

That's great news!! Do take it carefully though, I can imagine how desperate you are to get back in the saddle but keep that sensible head on!!!

Ohhh Jen didn't think about the trotting in hand bit!!!! I'm not sure Kane will do that either!! Guess I'll have to practice, and seeing the weather forecast this weekend I'll have plenty of time!!! :mecry: :mecry: I'm so fed up of this weather, me and Lynn are just about ready to pack the horses up and move to Spain (she said Paul will stay here and run the caravan site so we've got money to live on   ).

You can hire the Myler bits from here , I did try a few different types before buying mine (they are not cheap) but I've been really happy with his reaction to it.

Sounds like Easta is fitter than mum right now Sarah  .

That's great news about the yard Clare, sounds lovely! I'm sure you'll work round the school....I manage with a field and alot of imagination!!!

I can drive now!!!!!!!!! I've been up to see Wandy Woo who was break dancing in the turnout. The sense of freedom is WONDERFUL. :elefant: :elefant: :elefant:

My next trick is to ride, that's AFTER I've seen the specialist on the 19th and AFTER Wanda stops dancing! See, I'm being sensible!

Great news :partytime: :circle: :partytime: Roll on the 19th

I had a lady come out to advise on Myler bits, she was very good and travels all over the country, you can have them on trial from her too. Informed Biting. She incidently keeps her horse at the new place I hope to go :)

Still not heard when this stable is going to be available

I will sneak a RMF in here - I hate 2008, so far my car has died, Loki has been made homeless, and I got done for speeding yesterday  They say things come in threes, I hope that is my lot

After a long time out of the saddle, today I booked a riding lesson for 26th March at a riding school I rode at about 10 years ago

I am ordering a new body protector tomorrow and trying to soften leather gaiters and hoping my jodphurs still fit me.

:pinkie: :cheer: :thumbsup_anim: :elefant: I cant wait

oo lovely pic jacky!

good luck with riding lesson - am sure you will have lots of fun but be prepared to be slightly sore for the few days after ;-)

I saw grey throughbred last sun and took him in the school for a little while...he seemed very nice - jogged a bit but felt safe. Owner is lovely and said could ride him whenever as she doesnt have time and any time she does have is taken up with her youngster. She also has a mare in foal who she has said i can ride once back in work as well.... its a bit of a trek to get there but with no set days i have to go etc i dont mind.

She sent me a pic to my phone which i will attempt to put on here!! his name is ziggy and i think about 11 or 12.

Ziggy & Danny are both lovely

Had a fab lesson yesterday with Easta. Have set a goal to be out show jumping by end of june... so watch this space.

My OH is learning to ride and today I let him get on a friends quarter horse to see how he got on. I was terrified but he did really well. Esp as she is a reining mare and loads different to a school horse at the riding school.

Am really proud of him, after 6 lessons its quite a big step to get on another horse, in a field and have a walk, trot and little canter around! My heart was literally in my mouth!

Oooh - the arrangement with Ziggy and his owner sounds like it could be a good one :)

Danny does look stunning - am envious of your beach ride San, but we had a lovely beach dog walk instead when I was in Anglesey :)

Are your yard issues sorted yet Clare?

Good luck with your lesson - I can thoroughly recommend Mountain Horse boots - I live in mine.

We were waiting for the farrier today - he was late - I got bored, so I took a photo of Rolo with my phone - excuse disgusting state - he had just been brought in for the farrier because he had lost a shoe - hence only one clean(ish!) foot.

Think we are starting to get the "traditional" look!

Think your OH did brilliantly Sarah :)

Wow EAD, 120 miles for a riding lesson, now that's dedication! :flowers:

I too was wondering about the yard Clare, are you any nearer to getting sorted?

Great pics of the OH Sarah, he looks well chilled out!"

Jen, Rolo looks wonderful and his tail is superb, can't wait to see him with full feathers!

Wandy Woo is coming in season and is being a tart, Obe was staring at her blankly as she reversed up to him lustfully, silly mare!

Ziggy is lovely  Sounds a really good setup, hope it all works out for you :flowers:

EAD hope you don't ache too much after your lesson, I always find it is two days later I ache like mad. Look forward to hearing how you get on

Rolo looking as gorgeous as ever

Well done Sarah's OH

Ooooh you tart Wanda

My yard issues continue to be confusing  The new yard now looks like it won't have a vacancy by the end of the month and possibly for the forseeable future.

We had word over the weekend that WEC has been taken over, and I have a number to call to see what is on offer if I stay, which I will have to do at least for the short term as we have no where to go

I think I have just had a rush to the head, I have emailed an application for riding club membership and asked if they have any spaces on their showjumping clinic this weekend. Who are you and what have you done with Clare
