  1. bless him,we fell in love with him when he was here. You are doing such a good job. x
  2. sorry, I meant to put this in "normal" dog chat, I got confused because the Oldies Club bit is always the first place I go. Mind you, Kizzy is almost an oldie now. x
  3. I never really thought about this before but can you recognise your dogs bark from any others? I was sitting upstairs at the computer when I heard a dog bark and I immediately thought "that's Kizzy". I dismissed the idea because Kizzy rarely barks and mostly because it came from out the front of the house. My dogs are never allowed out the front because we are near a busy road and have a drive with no gates. Altho my dogs have free access to the back garden there is no way to get to the front unless you go through a gate and a locked side door, so it couldn't be her. When I heard the bark again I looked out of the window and Kizzy was on the front doorstep waiting to be let in. My heart went into my boots. Apparantly hubby had put the dogs behind the hall gate to put out some rubbish but hadn't noticed Kizzy asleep in the living room, she must have followed him out. Luckily she is a home bird, all mine are, and won't wander. I could have killed hubby. Would you recognise your dogs bark? x
  4. That is such a lovely pic,Az is a very gorgeous looking boy x
  5. they are a cracking pair and a credit to you Marge x
  6. I just looked it up and you are right. Thank you . It's nice to know what things in the garden are. x
  7. do they collect pollen? because these definately are. x
  8. we broke down a couple of years ago with our car, caravan and 5 dogs. The AA came out and the man said that the dogs were supposed to be transported in the car but he said most drivers would allow the dogs in the cab. Mine travelled home quite comfortably and the driver earned himself a decent tip. x
  9. I wonder what happens to most of the fish? I bet very few survive. x
  10. I have some gorgeous Lilies in my garden that are full of tiny insects that look like bees. I also have a few rose bushes that again have bees. this flower has a large bumble bee and other bee like insects does anyone know what the bee like things are? x
  11. I am on Tramadol for pain too. I am supposed to take it every four hours but I take mine every night and every morning, when the pain is bad,but I try not to take it during the day as it does make me feel dozy (well, dozier than normal) . When my Kizzy was ill the vet gave her Tramadol and she looked like I felt :laugh:but only for a short while. Apparantly Tramadol is not addictive and is a good drug for dogs as well as humans x
  12. for Cliffy and hoping he feels better today x

    Kizzi

she is gorgeous. I look after a spaniel just like her and she has a dry crusty nose because she roots in the earth on the flower beds.I put a bit of cream on it and altho she licks it off it does soften it. x
  14. isn't he supposed to carry it in his mouth like the rest of us? x
  15. Good Luck with your move and I hope that you will be very happy there x
  16. the worst one I saw was for 3 pairs of WORN/DIRTY knickers. I watched the price rise to over £50 before I gave up. I find that quite disturbing x
  17. I think that some people don't post very often (me included) because when they do post they get hardly any replies, but then another post will get pages and pages. I think its "who you know" rather than what you post. x

    Vena

I had no idea of Vena's story,it is so sad ,but what an amazing girl. Happy gotcha day Vena, you truly are a remarkable dog x
  19. When Woody stayed here overnight he adored my 11 year old dog savvy grandson and followed him around the house and garden. He seemed to prefer him to anybody else and insisted on sitting on his feet x
  20. I am registered by my local council to dog sit in my own home and I find the idea of not seeing where your dog is going as ridiculous. Before I accept a booking the people and the dog have to visit for at least an hour beforehand. I need to know that the dog will be ok with mine and that it will settle and the owners need to see where the dog will sleep, the garden, what the place is like and most of all whether they like me and my dogs.Feeding, exercise, foibles etc need to be discussed and everybody needs to be happy. I find their way extaordinary!! x
  21. so glad that she has found a home. I "do" little dogs now and I was very tempted. x
  22. What is your allergy Lester? and what cure have you found. It's always interesting to know about cures for allergies as a lot of human ones work on dogs x
  23. you should already have me but I can usually help in the Herts,Beds,Bucks area. x
