  1. Was dumbstruck to be honest as it was the hazard perception part that I was worried about and I was doing no-where near that well with the practice CDs!
  2. Am so so sorry Wendy. Run free sweet lady.
  3. Yay - I passed! 48 out of 50 for the questions and 70 out of 75 for the hazard bit so went very well. Now just have to get through the 'real' bit!
  4. Anyone else still progressing with their lessons? I have my theory test tomorrow so could do with some good luck vibes!!! The driving is going really well - recently had a 3 week break due to holidays but am back into it now and feeling more confident with every lesson. Things are sort of happening now without having to think about it which makes it all so much easier lol. My instructor is great too which helps - a bit barmy but far better than learning with someone dead boring. We even stopped for me to buy a sack of dog food today I love driving on the faster roads and think dual carraigeways are ace. My main problem was wibbling a bit at junctions and roundabouts but getting much more comfortable with them now and todays lesson went really well. Just falling back a little on the manoevers side of things due to cracked ribs making twisting very painful but was doing fine with them until my injury so am sure I will pick them up again with no problem once I am less achey. Best of luck to all those still working towards passing their test - I can't believe how much I enjoy it so if anyone is still teetering on the edge give it a go!
  5. Am so sorry Marian - words are not enough. Tears are flowing here - really does seem like the end of an era. Run free sweet Barney lad - Oscar, Lasso and Loppy will all be waiting to greet you.
  6. I live alone with just the dogs but it never bothers me. I am a very light sleeper so hear every noise and sleep with all the internal doors open so the dogs can have the run of the house and also have the windows open at night (weather permitting!). Am sure I would not feel so comfortable if I didn't have the dogs though - my two have huge barks and only the completely insane would be likely to try and get in once they heard that racket.
  7. Definitely - mine are Shepherds and feel the need to alert me if there is a fly in the garden! Like Jacqui's dogs though they will only bark if someone actually comes and knocks at the door or opens the back gate if I am in bed after a nightshift. But if I am up and about it is an etirely different matter!
  8. What dreadful news - sleep well little lady.
  9. Just got a couple of pics from a friend of mine who now lives in Spain. She has always had horses and is now finally getting the chance to get involved with Spanish horses which has long been a dream of hers. The pictures show her 11 year old daughter riding the Spanish stallion Nocturno and I am head over heels in love with him! Am planning a trip to visit her early next year and am sure the highlight will be getting to ride such a stunning horse. Had better stop now - I feel another horse search thread coming on........ Enjoy......
  10. The thing that stands out most from the slide show is what a full and happy life he lead. He was lucky to have found himself loved by you as much as you were blessed to have him by your sides. The slide show has reduced me to tears - so many actions and expressions that I have seen over the years in my own shepherds. It is a fabulous tribute to your wonderful boy. Run free Frodo.
  11. Am so so sorry Although I was never lucky enough to meet him, like many people here, I felt as if I knew him. He really was a great favourite to many and a very, very special boy indeed. Run free Snatch - forever young again.
  12. Am so sorry to hear your terrible news - torsion is so so awful. Thinking of you and your family. Run free Frodo

    So Sad

Am so sorry Run free sweetheart.
  14. Glad to hear she is feeling a bit better this morning Lisa - am sure she will make a full recovery and be bouncing around again in no time.
  15. Hi Lisa First of all I hope Sky is starting to feel better. My Oscar had a serious vestibular attack a couple of years before I lost him (to CDRM). He was treated with vivitonin and steroids and made a full recovery. He had a second, milder attack about 9 months later but again made a complete recovery. I believe it is fairly common for them to suffer further attacks unfortunately but Oscar only ever had the two. Vivitonin made a huge difference to him and vastly improved his quality of life in his final couple of years before the CDRM finally beat him so if it seems to help Sky I would certainly leave her on it. Lots of healing thoughts sent.
  16. Think you must be getting her mixed up with someone else! I speak to her daily and she is neither pregnant or already a mum. Emma is well but very busy with her new business so dosn't have a great deal of times for the forums. She was rather tickled when I asked her about her new addition though!
  17. Lots of good thoughts sent for Cinders. Fingers crossed she can pull through.

    Digby

Am so sorry - run free sweet lad.
  19. Awww - bless him. Glad he is home safe and well.
  20. Her ladyship is much brighter this morning! (Which is more than can be said for me after 3 hours sleep!) She is still a little quieter than normal but far livelier than last night when she was more or less in a coma all night. Was a little worried that she was not drinking but she has made up for that this morning and had a good long drink and has been out in the garden for a wee which was fine. Painkillers are starting to wear off now though and she is in a bit of discomfort and looking rather sorry for herself but I am pretty confident that within the next day or two she will be bouncing all over in typical Heidi fashion!
