  1. I don't know what to say - such dreadful news. My thoughts are with her family and many friends. Sleep peacefully Lesley - you will be missed.
  2. I'm in Billingham - just outside of Middlesbrough.
  3. Sadly the miracle did not arrive. His only chance was a full blood transfusion and even then the chances of success were less than 5%. He was clearly starting to suffer and I could not put him through any more. He was put to sleep at 7pm with myself and his Auntie Jackie holding his paws.
  4. Ang - I contacted the distant healing network and they are doing all they can to help him. Thanks for pointing me in their direction. Sadly the news on Logan is dire - along with his liver his kidneys are now shutting down, his blood is not clotting and his breathing is becoming laboured. He is currently being kept comfortable until the results of the bloods from the liver specialist come back. However, there is really no hope for him - I will be going to the vet's shortly to be with him. I can hardly function - my heart is breaking. Logan is my soul mate.
  5. It has been quite some time since I posted here at the Refuge as I rarely have time for the forums anymore but my Logan is in desperate need of all the healing thoughts that can be sent. On Tuesday last week he started to get a bit picky with his food but was fine in himself so I was not too concerned. On Friday he started to vomit and refused all food and water and was very listless and dull. We went to the vet on Saturday morning and he showing some tenderness in his stomach and was given an anti biotic injection, an anti sickness jab and some Zantac type tablets. Bloods were taken which showed a slightly high white blood cell count but nothing much else. A return visit on Monday resulted in another anti biotic injection and I thought he might be picking up as although still very listless he had at least stopped being sick. He was still refusing food but drinking a little water/Lectade. On Tuesday he was no better so he was admitted for more bloods and X Rays. Nothing showed up on X Ray but his white blood cell count was still high and his liver enzymes were now showing a problem. He was given fluids all day and allowed home last night. He barely moved all night and although I expected him to be drowsy after the anaesthetic he took a serious turn for the worse overnight and was rushed back off to the vets this morning. The next step was an ultrasound to look at both his liver and his stomach, again nothing sinistar was found but despite this he is not improving and has now got a yellow tinge. Pancreatitis has been tested for and ruled out and his bloods have now been set to a liver specialist to see what he can come up with. Poor Logan remains at the hospital in critical condition - he is being given fluids, anti biotics, anti emetics and other things to help support his liver. Am desperately worried about my boy - he is only 6 and has gone from being a fit, healthy bouncy boy to fighting for his life within a week. Please, please send all the positive and healing thoughts you can spare. I can't bear to lose him yet.
  6. Snap! Can't remember my scores but I also came out as ESFJ
  7. Thinking of all those who cannot be home due to putting their lives on the line to try make the world a better place. Stay safe.
  8. Am so sorry - thinking of you and your family. Run free big fella.

Sounds as if all is going well so far. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and fingers crossed for home in time for Christmas.
  10. Always intended to go straight through the Pass Plus as soon as I passed so will be doing it Mon/Tues/Wed this week. Was going to wait a few weeks but then decided to take advantage of being off work and get it done straight away. My ADI has also offered me a free refresher lesson in 4 to 6 weeks (or sooner if needed) to run through any areas I feel less strong in when driving on my own, though secretly I think he just wants to do it so he can thump me if I have picked up any bad habits!
  11. Had my 2nd attempt at my driving test today (well yesterday now) and am delighted to say that I passed! Failed my first one a fortnight ago after having a 'blonde moment' at a roundabout but today I managed to bring my brain with me and despite the roads being pretty chaotic with Xmas shoppers everything went smoothly. Have worked out it has taken me nearly 24 years to pass! 23 and a half to pluck up the courage to start learning and around 6 months to actually learn and get through my test. To anyone still dithering about learning don't let being a bit older put you off - I enjoyed very minute of it once I started to get the hang of it and only wish I had done it years ago!
  12. Am so sorry Di - thinking of you and Sue. Run free handsome lad.

  14. Am so sorry - thinking of all those who knew her. Run free sweetheart.
