  1. Claire, I can't believe it Your nooo house in Northampton was my in-laws' home from 1949 - 1998 and where my OH grew up. Hope you're very happy there.
  2. I do look but sometimes wish I hadn't as it is distressing. I follow up to see if rescue places have been found. I also look in transport requests which is one way we can sometimes help. It's a shame that lists of dogs who are due to be pts aren't posted weekly in local newspapers so that more people are aware of the stray problem and how distressing it is.

    The Picture!

This is probably my favourite, it's just the way she curls up so small. But this is a close second because it says just what she is, Daddy's girl through and through. When she first came to us she was terrified of men.

    Lost

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this Lindsey to you and your dad
  5. Most definitely Daddy'e girl and I'm second best.
  6. I believe that some people can but there are others who claim to when they can't. A former neighbour of mine is now a well-known animal psychic with her own TV show in the USA. I have strong doubts about her ability. Her biography has been glammed up. Her own pets when she lived in the same road as me had endemic cat flu and she left them without a thought when she left her husband. I really can't believe that animals at the bridge would want to communicate through her and the "readings" I've seen are very vague and unconvincing.

    Collie X's

Honey All our dogs have been collieX except our first, she was a border collie.
  9. Could you PM the link please?
  10. Sorry for your loss. It's good that people respect your wishes. Everyone has their own way of doing things that is part of the grieving process. We have had our dogs pts at home lying in their favourite spot, their bed or the rug in front of the fire. They're then wrapped in their favourite blanket and buried in our garden.
  11. I taught the children from a family where the mother was raising her husband's son by another woman along side the 2 daughters of the marriage. They kept the village shop and one day a young girl from the next village walked in and plonked her baby son on the counter in front of his father and said something along the lines of "You fathered him, you can look after him." I've no idea how the wife felt about this.
  12. Honey loves her creature comforts: Tucked up on the sofa On the bed Swing seat in the garden or just chilling out
  13. A colleague told me that she just couldn't cope with her hyper pup and was going to have to rehome him. She was feeding him Baker's complete. I suggested that she change fed to something with no artifical colouring. and problem was solved. She said he was like a different dog.
  14. Sal and Laddie are two of my favourite dogs (except for Honey of course). Lovely to see them together and the rest of their family too.
  15. It's so sad and I know that many people do know the situation, but unfortunately, people don't always realise that pounds and holding kennels pts. Many people think the one near us is a rescue.
  16. Congratualtions Ted and Lindsey

  23. I've just been to the council website via the link and can't find the decsion and the decision date is blank. Does the link take you to the right part of the website? Or have the council realised they shouldn't have posted the decision yet and removed it?
