  1. That is dreadful Those poor horses can now be sold off again and run the risk of ending up in a similar (or worse) situation again
  2. Everybody that sees Betty seems to fall in love with her but nobody has yet been able to offer her a home She is only about 2 years old, loves everybody and is good with other dogs. Betty is learning to behave on a lead and is very trainable and responsive. She also has the most kissable nose Betty is living in the house here and is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. She keeps her little suitcase packed ready just in case someone would like to offer her a forever home
  3. Dave has a pair of the All Terrain and finds them comfy but they do tend to make your feet more sweaty as they dont have the air holes. Not something that could be worn without socks I would think.
  4. I tend to have the off road ones in preference to the others as our yard is gravel and the thicker soles are better. Also I find the extra grip is useful as wet kennel floors can be a bit slippy. I do like being able to remove the heel strap too as I never wear it down so its just in the way otherwise.
  5. Thanks for that Wendy. I will get myself sorted to find an advisor locally. In the meantime, maybe if I start by gradually cutting out the carbs it will make the transition easier fingers crossed
  6. Can I ask for some advice please I need to lose a lot of weight and for the sake of both my health and my sanity I need to lose a fair bit of it pretty sharpish. After seeing the success of people on here I would really like to have a go at the Cambridge Diet or similar. Can someone who has done it please tell me how long, roughly, it takes for the headaches to go away and also how long it takes for the food cravings to stop. Do you ever get truly used to not having food??
  7. Had it in Cambridgeshire too. I am sitting here watching BBC News24 to find out what happened and nothing. Trust fugees to know more than the BBC
  8. As well as needing the Panacur liquid wormer for the pups, the bitch should be given it at a rate of 1ml per 4 kilos body weight daily from day 42 of the pregnancy until whelping.

    Ramps

Just had a look at this one but it says it only holds up to 20kg so probably not strong enough for Sarah's crew. Looks good for small dogs though.
  10. Watched, signed and crossposted. I just wish there was soemthing more I could do.
  11. I would appreciate being told if it were me.
  12. Yvette who is the most kissy staffie x I have ever met and that is saying something She is currently on our rehoming list so if anyone is short of dog snogs.............
  13. This is Barney from South Gloucester Council and this is their write up. He is in a foster home with 7 other dogs but needs a home of his own. He is quite vocal and talks (growls) to anyone near him, this is NOT aggression, its what he believes he should be doing but it can be very off putting to people who are not dog savvy. He is a lovely dog who will steal your heart but needs someone special with the time and commitment to give him the home he deserves. Barney has been cross posted with permission but serious enquiries should be to the phone number above.
  14. We desperately need one here as the girl that does our chipping/scanning is the other side of a flooded road for 4 months a year. Can you let me know the best price you can get the PetScan for please Bobbie as I would be interested in one.

    "dog Help Us"

Can someone please PM me about this. We have a dog here that came from there originally who has certain "issues".
  16. Just sent message to someone in that area to see if they are available to help.
  17. According to my book they recommend that once at target you increase your healthy extras by two a day from certain sections. If your weight goes back up then you cut back to 1 extra, if you carry on losing you increase to 3 or 4 extra till you find a balance.
  18. Updated news story As of 21.23pm latest report states car has been found but no sign of the dog...............
  19. So very sorry Run free beautiful girl
  20. The massive increases in Yorkshire and the North West are very worrying. I just wonder how many of those dogs were bull breeds Its also sad that despite only having 10.6% of the total number of strays collected, Northern Ireland managed to account for 43.8% of the total number PTS.
  21. Would you consider mail order?? I am now sitting here drooling
