I've just found a couple of snow photos on the camera that I'd forgotten about. Horrible memories of days spent trying to remove snowballs from 4 dogs with long leg-hair, and then mopping the resulting puddles, seemingly 100 times a day, came flooding back

It's almost Tricks's 4th Gotcha Day (27th Jan is the official day). So today we took him and the other 4 to Cleethorpes for the day. We've never visited Cleethorpes before. The beach was fab - full of lovely dogs for them to socialise with, but the wind was OUCH! Could only hold on to the camera for a short time, so not many photos to choose from! Waiting at the services - "Are we nearly there yet?" "Wait for me, my lead's blowing away" Much wind "Where've they gone?" - Note Rox disappearing off to explore the pier supports - we were expected to follow! You might be hard work sometimes, and you do know your own mind, but we do love you very, very much.

Yesterday morning: We've had more snow today. Starting to feel like a prisoner!

Ours haven't had a proper walk since the weekend so you're not the only one. We're struggling with just letting Tricks out on the garden because he gets lost (blind and deaf and he can't feel his usual markers) so it's a nightmare letting him out in the dark. The snow's well above welly height too so I hate having to go out to rescue him. It's snowing hard again here so I'm dreading what we're going to wake up to.

There's just something about a dog in a coat, rolling, that makes me giggle!

Oh, I do sympathise, Fee. Murphy has the most annoying ear-piercing, screamy bark that he does when we're getting ready to go for a walk. I can cope with one of them, but if we take a long time to get ready and he gets so wound up that he fits in more than one, I could quite happily strangle him. And it's so much worse when you're togged up to cope with the weather and are feeling very hot and bothered!
