  1. I am rubbish at finding the right things to say at times like these. But we know it is a horrid place to be, we also know you did your very best for your lad. Take care, the others in your life need you.
  2. Such a sad time for you. Whilst we are relieved to hear he is no longer poorly, we are sorry he is not by your side in this life. Take care and remember the good times.
  3. So sorry to hear a legend is about to leave us. Wendy stay strong and take care.
  4. I am glad you have managed to see the funny side of your misfortunes. Take care and take it easy for a while at least.
  5. Sorry to hear your sad news. Sounds like the short time he had with you was filled with love and joy. Sleep tight little man.
  6. You brought her good times and a happier life, she brought you to the world of rescue! Perfect. I am sorry to hear of the loss of such a special friend.
  7. The trading standards office local to where the car boot is I would think is a good place. If it is a breeder selling them, perhaps you could cleverly and craftily obtain their address and report them to the tax inspectors. At least take their registration number of their vehicle and make and model of their car. Also make the car boot organisers aware, as they may well be liable - not sure about the legalities of that, but they should be informed.
  8. Please excuse my ignorance, what is a "dog dancer" apart from Mary Ray? I cannot agree with the Nottinghamshire Council's decision.
  9. I am sorry I know how you feel, clearing their things away seems so alien, and final. I went down that road last week when I came down and found one of my foster cats, who had been poorly for a few days, had passed without me there. I did have a post mortem examination done as he was not an old cat, and it helped me to know it wasn't anything I had done wrong, and it wasn't anything contagious. But I still wished I had been there for him, I hated the fact that the holidays were there, and we were waiting to do some further tests on Tuesday. But he didn't even make it through Monday, so sadly it was not to be. Daisy your family loved you so much, and are hurting, but they will remember the good times soon , and those times will make them smile.
  10. Just wanted to say sorry to hear your news. Occupational therapists should be able to do a home assessment and see what help is applicable. My daughter is one, but presently on her holidays in New Zealand, then on her way home via Fiji! My own Mum had MID and Alzheimers too.
  11. Oh! no! I have just popped on after cooking dinner, and wish I hadn't! I am so sorry to hear about the sudden death, and also about poorly animals.
  12. Congratulations, I love big hairy ones like that! She looks as if she is enjoying life with you guys!
  13. What a lovely video the love shines out of the eyes of the helpers. Clear 'photos too. Well done!
  14. Good thoughts for him remaining pain free while they try and find out what is going on. Hugs to all who know him too.
  15. Angie thinks there m a y be one more to come from her Treacle camera! Here is the link:- http://www.ustream.tv/channel/coventry-cat-group---treacle-kitten-cam
  16. Thanks for your kindly comments. It is a shame for my foster Mum, she can only be around 9 months old herself. These young Mums are usually the kittens from the year before, and they are no longer a new plaything.
  17. Number 4 has arrived safely for Treacle now. I thought she was doing a lot of cleaning!
  18. Sadly my Mummy has had a stillbirth. It was still attached to its placenta, and she hadn't chosen to lick it. But look at the camera now and you will see one that has just been born that is with Angie. This Mum clearly has done this before.
  19. Both the Mum cats in the Group have given/are giving birth more or less at the same time. I have been up since around 6 this morning. I feel sick about one of them, as it was cold when I felt it, and we have tried to warm it and put it with its Mum and siblings. I have them on cctv and am keeping a close eye on them, we have taken her wet bedding away and given her clean and dry instead. Our co-ordinator's foster cat has obviously done this before poor thing. Well at least now they will both be spayed soon.
  20. I have been to get her back at last. She was very lively in the vets, but now she is back home, she is getting over her ordeal of being away from home and messed with!
  21. I rang at about 2 o'clock to see how she was, and it was too early. The supervisor lady, said can we ring you Judith? So I am waiting to go and get her when they say I can. I was okay earlier today, as I have been to collect a Mummy cat and her 4 kittens from a a man who had been kindly caring for her when she arrived as a stray at his house. But now I want to go and get her back!
  22. As you probably know, I am a fosterer for Coventry Cat Group, one of our fosterers has just installed a live kitty cam, and we have a tortie Mum to be in the early stages of labour now. http://www.coventryc...up.org.uk/news/ Hope this link works for you if you want to see how she is doing. I also have a Mum due any time!
  23. We had a letter today from our building society which we use as our bank. They were checking up on a couple of attempted transactions, and wondered if we had tried to spend over £700 at a well known on line electrical store! There was another attempt too, and luckily the society stopped that too. We are so pleased that they did, as last year we could have been defrauded of around £5000 by someone with an accent they couldn't understand that said we had moved to Essex! So now we have a little sunshine, (well one day) and soon longer days, be careful, and also of course on line too.
  24. It is a little early for kittens to be ready now. But a couple of nights ago I took in my first pregnant queen. She is a lovely semi-longhaired black and white with a black small bib and white feet, called Socks. We also had another tortie female come into the Group today! We are quite concerned where we are going to put any more that come in, as we have lost a couple of fosterers recently, and I don't want to risk any more Mums to be, because if a virus strikes which more likely with higher numbers, it can be devastating. So if anybody in the Coventry area wants to join Coventry Cat Group as a fosterer you would be most welcome.
