  3. Ringworm comes to mind here, I've had it before, but please check with a doctor
  4. I have both a GSD and a little terrier, it's quite a popular combination round here I have to admit that after the major aggression problems we had with Monty ( I still miss him ) I would be very wary of taking on another large dog with aggression problems, don't do puppies so thats not an option
  5. Glad it's back and fixed. Now I read you comment about having to use the appreved repairer with interest becuase I never have, even the once we were at fault, mainly because all the approved garages round here are rubbish
  6. Noooo this was taken at Wildwood near Canterbury, seem tpo spend my life travelling that road been in the area most of the weekend ! They have a pair of hand reared wolfs who are moulting worse then Zen and O got to keep some hair.
  7. It's amazing isn't it Is the big tiger standing up Makari, he's gorgeous. Perhaps we should try and arrange a Refuge Day there?
  8. As a vicrtim of white on white racism in my early years, yes we are talking PRIMARY school all I can say is that as a victim you either rise above it and get on with life or become bitter. Let me expalain, I am the youngest daughter of a German war bride who married my father and moved to this country just after the second world war, I also had the good fortune to be the only one given a German name, although throughout my primary school years it was changed to that bloody nazi kid. I had good friends who had parents that weren't so prejudiced, but that is my point, racism is taught it's not something that we geneticsally inherit. Looking back I can understand the feelings, many had lost relatives and friends in the conflict, and I like to think that it made me a stronger person, in fact in later years I even became friends with most of offenders.
  9. Read this with interest as I too am a postie and don't know of any who wear the steel toe caps out on delivery, in this area they are only issued to internal staff in loading bay areas. I don't have a problem with dogs barking at me through windows or over fences, but I do have a problem with idiot owners who let them out and expect you to enter the property and deliver post because that what you are paid for, and have lost count of the number of times I have been told the dog won't hurt me as it is hanging off and arm or leg, got nipped yet again this morning In reply to Blackmagic I have to say that this is quite comon, dogs are fine on the street then go mad when back in their property
  10. Anyone thinking of using dog travel products should read this first http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/board/topic/112440.html#fp
  11. Yep Merlin does it quite often, usually when he gets a scent of something enticing
  12. LINKY I heard this on my local radio this morning and am fuming !!!! How can the RSPCA say the dog didn't suffer when Neville Hill said it was still alive when he put it on her doorstep As they said after the news report it sound like the RSPca are saying it's ok to kill a dog on your own premises as long as it doesn't suffer, the presenter was as gobsmacked as I am
  13. Taken at the South of England Showground on Sunday, first time I've watched this indoors but will definately be going again
  14. £5 cos it makes me laugh everytime I look at it

    New Puppy

I can so sympathise with you, I have just found out that one of my neighbours has got a GSD pup. Thery already have a border collie that is never walked and neighbours complaining of the mes and smell from the garden ! They did have 2 BCs but rehomed one because of complaints. In this present anti cert.ain brred climate the last thing we need is yet another untrained, unsocialised GSD, anyone who has GSDs knows that the socialisation is vital at a young age and this poor thing isn't going to get it
  17. Wonder if they will get people mistaking them for foxes. picture I took last year

  20. We had one roaming about here a few years back, it was eventuaslly caught and passed onto reptile rescue. Don't worry they aren't venomous, I've been bitten by one, it doesn't hurt that much
