  1. my first thought whilst reading your post was a thyroid problem, my childhood cat panda had all these symptoms and my mum asked the vet to check his thyroid, the vet laughed and told mum not to be silly but me and my sister have a thyroid problem so mum sort of put two and two together, and the vet was amazed that panda did have a thyroid problem and was treated accordingly, he lived to a ripe old age, a much happier cat
  2. yes they are chins, not sure how old your freinds daughter is but they dont really like to be handled, so not ideal for young children, however, a chin loves to be tickled and will have my kids standing with their hand in the cage tickleing him for ages my son has chosen harvey for one but the jury is still out for the other
  3. that made you all look didnt it right now your in here you can help us find some names for these sweethearts we adopted yesterday, they were called possum and fluff, both male and little darlings my son wants one to be harvey i like the name benson and mark............well what can i say.... as we already have chi-chi, he wants choo-choo and cha-cha....pleeeeese someone help me i'm desparate
  4. i would definatly take her to the docs, my 11 year old daughter had exactly the same symptoms a few months back, shes also 'developing well' for her age, it turned out to be a nasty urine infection which cleared up nicely with antibiotics,
  5. still waiting for confirmation for payment on the dog coat won by flukespad
  6. ok, let me know if you need it, i'll post it out to you
  7. did you manage to get a trap sorted, i have one you can borrow as a last resort as i'll have to post it to you, its not massive but suitable for trapping a cat as long as its checked regulary
  8. my sympathies to you and your family at this sad time
  9. these are my poosy tats, blue, the tabby is 9 and brandi the tortie has just turned 6mths and this is my new addition who joined us on sunday, 12mth old accident prone susie, who i collected via freecycle, she has had 2 RTAs, and has pins and plates in her legs so shes not as flexable as most kittens, been ragged by a dog, and shes still determined to make every dog her friend
  10. saw this, this morning http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20090313/tuk-c...es-6323e80.html
  11. everything posted, bar one dog coat, hope you all enjoy your parcels
  12. i know exactly how you feel i have this battle with my sons school several times a week (he has aspergers) the school just dosnt understand that putting a aspergers child in exclusion is the biggest treat he could have, i've known him to deliberatly hit someone so he can be on his own, yet they still say that solitry confinement is the best way to deal with him.......numties, my son also wont say whats bothering him either, he either avoids the question completly or starts rambling about something that happened days/months ago that upset him, usualy something that i'm already aware of
  13. we make these at school, custard cookies 6oz custard powder 6oz icing sugar 12oz plain flour 12oz marg chcolate chips optional mix all ingredients (in a mixer) to a dough, add chocolate chips if using, turn out on a floured table and roll out to about 1/2 inch (ish) cut into what ever shape and put in oven gas mark 3 for 20 mins they stay quite a soft cookie (not a hard crunchie one) especially if you ice them with sprinkles, great for those of us with dentures forgot to add my hubby eats these and he's diabetic, obviously without the chocolate chips
  14. blimey helly how much red bull did you give my parcel, it arrived this morning, thats what i call quick thank you very much i'm sure my son will love it

  17. how very true ok, i have correctly threaded the machine so i'm gonna have to plead the sweet but dumb lady at the shop and ask them to show me, thanks for all your fugee knowledge....again
  18. i knew i could rely on fugee knowledge for ideas, i will check and recheck EVERYTHING (although i'm sure i've threaded it right) great links, i will keep hold of those for future reference i bought the machine from a catologue, but there is a sewing machine repair shop in town............do you think it woulkd be a bit cheeky to ask them to show me what i'm doing wrong
  19. i thought my old machine had had it when all the stitching underneath started to gather in the feeder and jamming, so i bought a new machine yesterday, and its doing exactly the same i've tried changing the needle size (fabrics quite thick) and adjusting the tension dosnt seem to work either...........what am i doing wrong
