  1. As it happens I did zonks ago when I first joined and shortly before I was banned with no explanation at all over night. I enquired and was told I was rude to members. I am a lot of things but rude is certainly not one of them and i hope you agree as you know me a little. I for one am not slandering anyone and as you know yourself we as a rescue made it never public on any forum why we weren't allowed to post on DP but by replacing our rescues name/links with -refer to moderator- which includes email addresses and the name oldies club, newer members by default must feel we are a 'dodgy' outfit. As I said before, we rehomed dogs without DP from the start but changing our links/names is something different to not allowing us to post.
  2. I couldn't agree more with Jacobean on this. We as a rescue have never posted on any forum why we have never been allowed to post on DP, maybe now we should. First it was due to allegations that we are Pro Hunting (now everyone who knows our bunch knows that is total nonsense). Then there were apparent concerns with one of our then committee members (actually the owner of DP and this person had a fall out, nothing to do with our rescue or our work in general). Then we weren't allowed to post on DP as the old OC chat forum was hosted by AR (again the owner of DP had a fall out with them in the past) and lastly we were told we can't use DP because we now use The Refuge (and this was actually before the whole MR saga). As everyone can see, never once was it down to the fact of the rescue and our working policies, it was always down to the fact of 'personal disputes'. Quite frankly we survived for 3 years without posting our dogs or appeals on DP, however the fact that people now can't even be directed to our website and potentially find an oldie to adopt or someone who needs to rehome an oldie will never know that there are many rescues who will take them, that is the real shame here. As a fellow OC Trustee and current Chair Person I to would take any allegations without proof as a rather serious matter but deep down I hope that those who start rumors, make unprooved allegations and pressurise rescues into chosing sides will wake up and realise none of us do this for point scoring etc but we do this to help the animals and hopefully make a difference to the current situation with unwanted animals and help making the future better for animals in general by educating the public.
  3. As Snatch is also better known as 'Nice Tim but Dim' and he needed 2 years to learn down, he can relate to Berts dimness.
  4. Yes they are. She has very kindly donated some collars and leads to the Oldies Club That is Molly. Lynne was dog sitting her and as she is 13 we took her along for the day.
  5. Hi Emma and Welcome Back We do know each other and if I remember rightly, Tekno was fab at the Teckles show but Snatch barked in his face
  6. Also a very HUGE thank you to everyone at the K9nitters team.
  7. Coryn, you are in good company We had emails with DP and Ray with regards to our 'links' with the Refuge and who we allow to post on our website. No one should be bullied into chosen between forums or websites, after all, we are all in it for the same reason, helping as many animals as we can to a better future.

  16. Any news with this lad? I really love the breed, I met regular a bloke with his french bull dog who cracks me up everytime I see him. They are funny little so and so's but so stubborn and a real 'short man syndrome'.
  17. Selina have one of those As you know, Snatch got diagnosed last November with Dementia and he is on Selgian which has really shown a great difference. Snatch was restless and literually scared of coming down stairs and detaching himself from us and after starting on the Selgian, I now have my little man more or less back. He still has odd days but in general his 'happy pills' work. And same as Ollie, he doesn't know any better and you have seen him at Christmas and how happy he was Always here if you need a natter
