  1. Evenin' all No - giraffe came from African shop and ring came from purple crystal shop next to African shop No I think they only have them out when its not raining/snowing though - twas snowin' when we went I have bought three pairs of Crocs recently cos my other two pairs both sprung leaks. I got purple Caymens, black Proffeshunnuls (or whaterever the hole-less ones are called) and black gumboots off eBay which haven't arrived yet. I am thinking about a pair of the ones with an inernal muffy bit (the furry bit where your feet go, can't remember what its called) but ones with muffs are expensive...
  2. Crikey thats scary My Scooby has a plastic-clip-type collar which tend to unsnap fairly easily. What types of collars did your guys have on?
  3. Ooh in that big shop wot-was-supposed-to--beSomerfield-then-was-empty-for-ages-wot-I-used-to-live-behind? Knew I shouldn't have moved..... I fell off the sofa yesterday while trying to just stand up - dogs both rushed over but hoomans in the room just snickered thats the worst sort, 'tis Dobiewind. Boxerwind and colliewind are also nasty but dobiewind is expecially ming... I am kind of see-sawing at the moment - Person 2 has spoken to Preson 3 about Person 1. Persons 2 and 3 have come to the decision that confronting Person 1 will bring it all back up and exacerbate (sp?) the situation, and make in a gazillion times worse. So what am I supposed to do - forget about it? Just leave it at that? I have had my trust in two people broken (I beleive Person 2 but there is still a little voice in the back of my head saying 'what if') On the plus side a friend and I went to Glastonbury yesterday - she bought a giraffe (small wooden one, not a real one) and I bought a new ring RMF - fake garlic sausage (Redwood) fake cream cheese and rice cakes is nums
  4. Morning all oooh I knew I shouldn't of moved, where's that too? Although we are getting a Sainsburies soon its not as posh as Waitrose... So sorry :GroupHug: Snow - did your Mum get a response to that email? Person 1 is talking to me again, sort of. My friends who own my local have said if I need anywhere to escape to HRH and I are more than welcome to come and hide, they will also pop their dog Gyspy upstairs (Gypsy and Scooby hate each other) so HRH can wander about the bar in peace and I can prop up the bar while knowing HRH is ok. I am also thinking about getting a van and converting it into a camper - it means getting rid of the Raspberry (my car) but it also means that if this ever happens again I have an escape route and I am not beholden to anyone. Person 2 is annoying me as they still haven't spoken to the people they said they would speak to - I am fecking not happy about that at all but if I bring it up, I'm nagging
  5. Morning all. Thanks for the honkyoctapus links - I will be ordering one for HRH shortly I sent quite a long time in the pub chatting to the landlord about the Current Situation. But the landlord happens to be one of my best mates so it doesn't count as being properly at the pub We have come to a decision - either Person 2 speaks to Person 1 or I move out Its not ideal but hopefully it will either rectify things or I will have to go - I can't stay as things are anyway. I will not be leaving Scooby behind though - if the council cannot find me appropriate dog-friendly housing I shall get a camper van and stay in that until the council find me somewhere.
  6. Scooby is requesting details of where to purchase a Giant Purple Honking Octapus.....
  7. I have spoken to them seperately and both say they are telling the truth. Person 1 is now ignoring me and being very difficult (throwing my stuff about when I'm not there etc.) I was thinking about leaving earlier - the thought of chucking HRH, a bag of dogfood and a change of clothes in the car and just going is so tempting - but for the cold and the other animals I would have done it already. I don't mind sleeping in my car as its done up like a kennel for HRH but at this time of year? Much too cold!
  8. :GroupHug: I would ping you but OH has taken all thr programmes off the pooter to do stuff so I will try and grab you on FB later Will go have a looksee at that Thankyou everyone for the - basically Person 1 is saying one thing while Person 2 is saying something totally different. The problem is I want to beleive P2, and in any other circumstances I would immediately as P2 would die rather than lie to me, however P1 is going to push their nearest and dearest away from them if they are lying - they have been found out already if they are lying at it will all kick off something horrible I have a lot of contact with both people. If it turns out that P2 is lying then I will be moving away from the area - I will lose everything apart from Scooby and my car. If P1 is lying then a lot of peoples (including mine) will be hell from now on and I very well may wish I had moved anyway. I really don't know what to do. How do I know who is lying?
  9. I have been told a shedfull of lies. I am fecking fuming angry. But I don't know who's telling them I know who I want to beleive, and who I always thought would die ebfore lying to me, but the other person I don't think has any reason to lie like this especially as it will upset their nearest and dearest and they will never, ever trust them again. I really haven't got a clue what to do about it
  10. Thankies Was getting quite stressed about it earlier but if they have a clue, well, no news is good news  RMF - just had second dosage of newfangled inhaler doodadwotsit. It tastes ming and scared the hell out of me as when I puff too hard it whistles
  11. Morning all for poorly teefs/bunnies and for Great Aunts Had my appointment at the Rheumatology Hospital in Bath yesterday - was waiting for an hour to get in but it was worth it - she poked and prodded (gently) then said I ws eligable to go on a coping-strategy type course I've been wanting to go on, so I will be sent on that. She said there's not a lot I can do that I'm not already doing but if I fancy being a pre-licence guinea pig she will recommend to my doctor that I try a new medication thats available in the States but is still trialling here. Saw my own doctor today, she said its unlikely my asthma has come back however it looks like I am sensitive to some sort of environmental pathogen floating about so I have an anti-inflammatory inhaler that I have to use twice a day Also have to go and have a girlie examination next week - smear and urine tests OK but somethings wrong, not sure what though Doctor won't tell me what she's looking for apart from "any abnormalities" but unless I've grown a willy I'm not sure what she means Can anyone shed some light on that please?
  12. *thud* I just fell in love...he's beautiful! There's a reason why i don't go on the OC website as there is no way I can have another dog at the moment. Beautiful photos, and fingers crossed they are the thing he needs to catch his new forever homes' eye!
  13. Morning all Yes we will! I promise to leave the tarantulas at home Just had some Religious-type people banging on the door extolling the virtues of whoever it is they are following. I sloooooowly opened the door, didn't say anything, then slooowly shut it again. OH's Mum has told them to bugger off on numerous occasions but they keep coming back I find them a complete invasion of my privacy. OH's Mum has decided next time they come over I am to grab one of the rams' skulls, put on a black cape, open the door and ask them what they want cos I am in the middle of something...
  14. I'll keep an eye out - due to be down that way this week, sure I can stop off both ways and have a walk. Trying to surreptitiously train Ellie (OH's parents dog) I am so proud of her, she has done really well considering the circumstances, but OH's Mum does my nut in...
  15. Morning all Can someone tell Scooby that is he far too big to be sitting on my shoulder? And my plate is empty so there is no point chuffing in my ear I saw a lady carring a JRT in one of those slings a few weeks ago - he/she looked soooo comfy! Where about along the canal Lynne? I am going back to see family next eek, sure I can take a walk along the canal and keep my eyes open.
  16. Thats brilliant! Fingers crossed all will go well
  17. Afternoon for all the people who have had bad news - there is much too much of it about at the moment. I have been into P@H and bought what I needed without throttling any arrogant members of staff (I went in there on Thursday and the male rats had no food - I pointed it out to a sales assistant who went off to check then returned and said they had been fed that morning but had hidden their food. When I asked where she hummed a bit and said "in their hide". Well I could see into the hide and there was no food in there. I pointed out that a couple of the rats were eating their own poo and she said "oh well they must have forgotton where they put their breakfast" and walked off. OH then dragged me out hissing and spitting before I could ram my stick up aforementioned sales assistants bum ) All animals fed and watered today though. I have cleaned out the mice and the multimammates, cleaned out the baby snakes, and am now taking a breather before going in to feed the snails, roaches and millipedes. Not usually a problem but I am trying to get everything done by 5 as we are supposed to be going out and our friend who runs the Bug House at Bristol Zoo is coming over so we won't have a chance to finish stuff off this evening. Oh and we need to have something to eat. OH finished at three but I can guarantee he won't be home before 5 as he works in a pub and gets drinks bought for him. Meh.
  18. So sorry My thoughts are with friends and family
  19. Yay my second comment has been published. Think the first one was a bit abrupt This woman needs to go and watch people choose which dogs live and which dogs die - I think it really will make her think about what she has done. Even if she doesn't do it through the Mail I will gladly go with her, with a camera, and photograph proceedings, and get it published somewhere.
  20. Oh wow they do look all snuggly
  21. Have left a comment - lets hope the stupid woman realises what she has done is oh so wrong.
  22. Thanks everyone I have just moved up here (well, October) and am looking to do some volunteery-type stuffs, but being a Somerset/Devon girl don't know the area at all...
  23. I had a bloke come up to me ranting several years ago because Chester wee'd on a hedge. No-ones hedge, just a hedge. Just a little marking wee, not even a huge long river of a wee.I was told I "had better pick that up young lady" and he "knows where you live" and he is "sick to the back teeth of dogs fouling everywhere" I turned round and calmly explained that there was no legal need to pick up dog urine, only faeces, so I shook my bag of dog poo at him, called him and idiot and calm,y walked off.
