  1. I've just been on the phone to Titmuss who I get the Orijen from as my tracking for the order says it was on route to the depot on the 7th and then there's been not a dicky, so it does seem as if it's gone awol, they'll phone me back when they've tracked it down, in the mean time I'll get a bag of Royal Canin.
  2. I luvs door curtains, they make you feel right cosy, you can get special rods for them so the door can open and close without having to draw the curtains open.
  3. My friend had a Wire Haired Pointer and he had to be kept in the porch when they were out as he was so destructive when left alone, my friend didn't work so he was on his own for only a few hours at a time, he was eventually re-homed to the RAF to be trained as a sniffer dog, at which he excelled. I spent 40 min's in the field this afternoon doing roll reversal with the dogs, seems frozen rabbit trottles are very delicious but my dog's are carp at finding them, so the three dogs had me trotting about the field going " there's one " .
  4. Brings back many happy memories for me, hope you enjoy it as much the second time around I got a package today, two pairs of socks I bought off E Bay from Bulgaria for 99p last week !! how come I get stuff from bloody Bulgaria that's yumpy-tumpty miles away and am still waiting on those damned boots that are 2 hrs drive away , our post is right pish.
  5. Is this the dog I gave you a contact for ? sorry they couldn't help if it was you might try, it is in Fife though. 2nd Chance
  6. Is that the one with the plastic dome in the middle with the dice in it ? I loved that game. TBH it's the bag of Orijen I'm most narked about, dogs first in this house
  7. I think the GP is the usual one to call, they have to pronounce the person has died, that's what happened with my friends dad.
  8. Poor wee chap , it does sound as if it's his spine that's the problem, I think the only way to get to the bottom of it is another trip to the vet and an X-ray., even if it shows nothing up, it will rule out some conditions such as a disc problem, if the vet thinks an x-ray isn't needed he probably will need some more pain relief .
  9. I think most of us is suffering from Slowdeliveryitus due to the weather, we're coping it more than most up here in Siberia Scotland, so what are you waiting for in time for Crimbo ? I'm waiting for Tuffa boots ( although they have shipped today ) Bag of Orijen Dog biscuits from Daisy's Deli Various chews from Zooplus Boondock Saint's DVD. I feel like the only delivery I'll be getting is more bloody snow on Thursday .
  10. For Gooster and family. Bought another two bottles of champers for pressies, not a hope in hell of getting anything through the post in time for Crimbo, so a bottle of champaign will have to do. Still confined to local walks for the duggies, the hills are still impassable and taking ickle Dinkle any where near a park is just asking for trouble, I may try going round the stubble field, up the drive to the " big hoose " and along the farm track, cross the road into another stubble field and back into the village tomorrow. I'm secretly enjoying being so confined, not having to get up at 6am to get up the hills before anyone else is pretty fab
  11. I think that counts as being a jammy git rather than a bargain I got a bottle of Moet champaign in Sainsbury's with £6 off.....I is well posh
  12. What about a pedometer ? I always find it great fun to see how far I've actually walked, or you can get really good shoe inserts for walking shoes that absorb all the shocks which might be good for her wonky bones. You won't have a Tiso where you are but you'd be able to get these somewhere else Insoles
  13. There's no need to re-heat a roast chicken ( or any roast ) I have Crimbo lunch at my friend's who live a twenty min drive away, every year ( getting into the tenth one ) I cook Sally ( friends daughter ) and I a free range chicken which I leave covered in tin foil I also wrap it in a large bath towel so there are a few layers thickness, this keeps it piping hot for a good two hours, you do lose the crispy skin though, I also did this with the roast tatties minus the tin foil as that would make the tatties soggy, if you just use tea towels and then towels it lets the steam out but the heat in, they don't keep as hot for as long as the chicken but it is possible.
  14. I haven't seen it but I'll be looking out for it, looks promising
  15. OCH !! I was in Kinross and completely forgot it would be in the shops today
  16. What about one of those Snuggie things, the blanket with sleeves
  17. Your in luck, I could write a book on bandaging paws . I used to bandage Daisy's scuffing paw every day, I used a combination of a soft padding bandage such as Soffban then Powerflex on top which is the same as Vet wrap but is stronger and a bit more water proof, I found the best way to get it to stay on was to put the Powerflex under the dew claw then on the next wrap put it over the dew claw, this seemed to keep it in place, you do have to be very careful not to do it too tight or you could cut off the circulation. I did a whole set of photo's for Griff a while ago on how to do the bandage, she might still have them but I don't think I do unfortunately, I'll have a look though. Now I use Pawz. which are excellent but might not give you the protection your looking for. I've also tried just about every boot on the market, the two I would recommend are Neo-paws, they do lots of variations but I had these ones, and Active-paws although the last one can take a while to get to you depending on the type of boot you go for, of the two of them I preferred Neo-Paws, they stayed on better and Daisy seemed to cope with them better, because she's so short coated the Active paws tended to slip down, they never came off completely though but would make her trip up.
  18. Anybody know a good on-line site for info on LPG converted cars ? I considering getting a 4X4 LPG ( 2nd hand ) but I'd like to know about the siting of the LPG tank, I know you get ones in the boot but I've seen some which seem to be located under the floor which might be useless for me as I'd like good ground clearance.
  19. Said on the telly that all the motorways in Scotland were closed this evening
  20. for Kelly's manky ear Obi is adora-bull, I'm afraid I'd be a failed foster too. Think the melts on here too
  21. I'd been thinking of them too but I think they're very expensive
  22. Bit like Spud, he knows "away " " beat it " " bog off " and " f*** off " depending on who might be visiting .
  23. I had peanut butter on toast too !, although it's hard to find one that doesn't use palm oil, even the organic ones use it, you'd think they'd be concerned enough not to use the damned stuff . Incredibly cold here, I think Lola chook may have frost bite on her comb, the colours not looking great, and that was with vasaline on it. Snowing again
  24. I took Ben along to the stubble field last night to see what the pavement was like, just about impassable, I could walk on the road but it's just to dangerous to walk on it with dogs, it's so busy, thank god for the other field or we wouldn't get out at all
