They do only mean show greyhounds - racing greyhounds do not exist in the eyes of the Kennel Club I really don't know what the difference is so bearing in mind that we all know that greyhounds are not rare, I would therefore go for the deerhound

Thanks Brenda I think we've more or less decided that it's now or never. We'll be going with my brother and sister in law and we have family there so I'd be mad not to So glad that that this gorgeous boy has found a new home so quickly. Hope he has a great new life ahead of him

Poor little love - it breaks my heart but also makes me very angry What could possess someone to move abroad and not take their dog, knowing that it will pine for them and languish in kennels? I'm still considering whether I can bear to leave my dogs in kennels for just two weeks to go to Australia as I know I'd miss them so much. Really hope Onyx can find a new, loving family

There are a few more foods which are poisonous/harmful to dogs. Raisins/sultanas etc. - as few as 7 have been known to cause kidney failure and death, mushrooms, onions, macadamia nuts spring to mind. Also very fatty food such as chicken skin can cause pancreatitis which can be fatal
