Helly
Today i am going into town for a hair cut, and there arent too many people getting under my feet i shall attempt to do some xmas shopping. i can do it with annoying efficiency but tend to have to work myself up into new levels of grumpyness to just get through it and get it done. god i hate xmas. its just commercialised and over rated. merledogs
Bah humbug If I do any Christmas shopping it's usually done online. Failing that, I work just behind a massive Asda/Walmart at Trafford Park and they do just about anything you could want. Additionally this is opposite the Trafford Centre, so I can usually slope out of work mid morning on a Monday or Tuesday when it's quiet and finish bits and bobs there They are also building a second Trafford Centre over the road from the first, with a bridge linking them I am not doing Christmas this year so a few cards to close relatives will be sent and a pressie for ickle niece but that is about it
Happylittlegreensquirrel
I don't do any xmas shopping any more and avoid the shops like the plague when everyone else is can you guys not shop online and get the stuff delivered to you instead ? Annie
I shop online and make one trip to the shops which I have to really gear myself up to do. It's not the shopping that I detest so much it's all the wandering numpties that mill around with no idea what they are doing Like Helly I can shop very quickly and efficiently given the opportunity to do so
Helly
i can do a fair chunk of mine online, but its the little bits and bobs, stuff for the staff etc that im struggling with. Hawkins and IWOOT and firebox save me a lot of time and effort.

snow
I've pretty much finished all my shopping too and like mindy it was all done from the comfort of my own home I loathe shopping at the best of times I dislike crowds and I dislike big shops where I just haven't got a ruddy clue where stuff is I just go into overload and get more and more irritated and wound up. I won't be setting foot into Swindon on a weekend after Dec 1st and before Jan 15th - if it's not sold on line - I can live without it

dirtychicken
I've not given any thought at all to Christmas this year apart from the odd fleeting thought of "ooh that would be nice for..........." but couldn't afford to buy it at the time and so it's gone I am sorely tempted to give it all a miss this year. Our card/shopping list has been reduced drastically by the move away but I can't even drum up the enthusiasm to do the small bit I need to

Our card/shopping list has been reduced drastically by the move away but I can't even drum up the enthusiasm to do the small bit I need to worth asking the kids what they think as you may be surprised , Aisling was just as happy to give xmas a miss as us as she is just as fecked off with the commercial element we just find that we all so relaxed throughout December and spend our money on what we want when we want , Aisling enjoys buying things half price in Boots after christmas
