Wow, what a transformation from her first pic - she's gorgeous  Lots of healing thoughts for her poorly leg. Good luck with keeping her quiet for the next few weeks

Scratchy is a brilliant advert for neem oil, vitamin e capsules and early spaying of demodect dogs, shes four now and has never had another attack since the first one

But she might have a big juicy marrowbone to keep her mind off her dressing

scratchy's mum had demodectic mange but the pups had both demodectic and initially sarcoptic mange (thought to have been contracted in the birth canal or from nursing,) The pups were too young to be treated with topical meds such as aludex initially so we used neem oil mixed into baby shampoo as well as vitimin e capsules and cream to help the hair regrow, they had hair within a month much to the surprise of our vet.

itchy and scratchy only had one aludex bath when they were old enough and they were already on the mend by then so that was precautionary only. the same treatment was used on their brother spike but he was older when he arrived and he had aludex straight away as well as the neem and vit E.

We bathed twice weekly with the neem oil shampoo and rubbed neat neem into the really scaly bits daily for a week as well, before using vitamin E cream all over every couple of days (not on neem days) and capsules in their food daily :flowers:

Demodectic mange is stress/hormone related so spaying/neutering early puts a stop to hormones or adolescence causing a recurrance
