Professional Dog-Handler Jailed For Allowing Dog To Die Of Heatstroke In A Van

I was looking for this last night (though I'd posted it here last week) & gave up.

The RSPCA Inspector calling him "silly" makes it sound less than it was in my opinion. His actions were at best careless and unprofessional, given his job (and training?) and at worst down right cruel.

It will also surely worry the PC who is imminently due to face similar charges, as if anything you'd expect an even more responsible / professional approach from the Police.

:mecry: Two large dogs, hot day, a confined space, rear of a van; it's not common sense that they would get very hot with the doors shut, it's blatantly obvious. Nothing but deliberate cruelty, unless he was totally out of his senses at the time.

A very loose interpretation of the term 'professional' but he's certainly lost that profession now so at least he will always be reminded.
