cycas
She hasn't broken the pin! Snow gets a gold star for her l33t remote greyhound diagnosis skills : the swelling has gone down and the undamaged main joint further up the leg has started to move again. She now has a weeny small bandage just covering the screws and the ulcers. I'm about to take her for a weeny Mollydog-walk PHEW! snow
Sooooooooo pleased at the news and that Molls is able to go walkies - our news wasn't so great and Nog is probably facing more surgery however he can go back to proper walkies as we need to get the bones to fuse now so thats a bit of good news along with the bad. BeadyP
Great news for Mollydog! Enjoy your weeny walk. Does it mean she doesn't need to be carried into the garden anymore? Sorry to hear about Nog, I do hope his legs heal without the need for more surgery.

cycas
I'm not carrying her down the steps any more, but I'm still going to carry her up for a while yet . She needs to put weight on the bad leg now, but not too much or push with it yet.

cycas
Today Mollydog discovered that she can run on 2 legs. Her front bad leg and her back bad leg are on the same side, so she tucks them both up and runs as if she is riding a bicycle! This is a trend we are not encouraging, as she is now SUPPOSED to be putting weight on the back leg (that's the one with the new tendon injury - the bad front leg is arthritic due to an ancient racing injury. Also, the front foot has a corn on it).
