Melp
If you live in Cheshire and own a bull breed [american bulldog, taller than average staffy or even a bull breed cross] please be aware that Cheshire police are seizing dogs. They appear to be on a mission If you own a bull breed, regardless of whether you think its type or not, please be careful. Keep your dogs on lead and do not let them get into any scrapes! We don't know wether they're acting on intelligence, calls from neighbours or what but they are very active in the area. We have some lovely fugees leafletting at the weekend and our helplines are open as usual. Numbers are 0870 0345562, 0870 0345563 and 0870 0345564. Mobile number for me is 07866 510220, I'll add Mels later if she's ok with that. DDA watch is also taking calls. I don't have a number for them at present [if anyone knows it please add to the thread] Please be very careful and remember that you DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN YOUR DOG OVER no matter how much pressure is put on you. We are always here so please call if you or anyone you know has any problems

Rumpole
not on the scale of merseyside but apparently being done giving out incorrect info that if type the dogs must be put down its imperative that owners know that this is not the case, and they can elect to go to court. we assisted a Cheshire case last year and it was dealt with appallingly IMHO we are just desperate to get word out to ring us for advice especially as the local paper seems to have jumped on the bandwagon wilmslow express The other dog Gina has been examined and has now been released as not type
Jacobean
I replied to your other thread saying I can leaflet doors if that's the help you needed? In parts of Warrington. I live close to Orford which has a lot of bullbreeds.

Good chance to explain that people don't have to sign their dogs over and that being IDd as type doesn't have to mean a death sentence for the poor dog. Very sad that another police force is going after dogs just because of how they look - that's bound to improve public safety isn't it
